Paper Play Sketches #24

Hello scrappy friends! I hope that you are having a good week!

It's Wednesday and that means we have a new sketch up over at Paper Play Sketches. Janis has created another awesome sketch for us to work with.

For my card I have used the super cute "I Love Winter" collection from Echo Park. The snowman was actually a tag from the ephemera pack that I trimmed down. The sentiment is from an old Studio G $1 bin stamp set.

Head on over to Paper Play Sketches to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. I hope you find some time to play along with us this week. We love to see your beautiful creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #299

Hello everyone! Good Tuesday morning to you! I hope your day is off to a great start!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday has a new sketch posted today and this sketch is courtesy of LeAnne. Our optional theme for this sketch is - "Love the Season".

I dug into my older Doodlebug Designs Christmas stash for this Christmas card. The copyright on the paper was 2006, so I thought I'd better get to using it! The sentiment is stamped with a Studio G $1 stamp, and it is one of my favorites to use!

Head on over to the Try Stampin' blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the team. I know this can be a crazy busy time of year, but I do hope you find some time to play along with us! This challenge runs until December 13, and you can enter either on the Try Stampin' blog or over on our Facebook page here.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Season's Greetings with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #188

Hello everyone! I hope that you have had a good day. I know it's been hard getting back into the routine of things after our Thanksgiving break!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge posted a new sketch today, and I had a lot of fun working with this one. Here's a look at the sketch:

The most difficult thing for me about this sketch was choosing what papers to use for the panels. This is not my normal go to colors for Christmas cards, but I kinda like it! It's fun to step out of that comfort zone once in a while and try something different!

These papers are from Pink Paislee's Snow Village 6x6 paper pad. It's a few years old and part of a bunch of Christmas stash that I have pulled to try and use for this holiday season. The sentiment is from Fancy Pants Happy Holidays" stamp set - another one of my favorites to use this time of year!

Be sure to stop by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog to see this sketch and read up on the rules. The full design team reveal will be up on the blog on Wednesday, along with last week's top 3, so be sure to check back to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team.

Thanks for stopping by today! I will be back tomorrow with another project to share with you!

Lasting Memories #321 - Best Of 2016

Hello everyone! Good Sunday morning to you! I hope you have had a good weekend so far. We have enjoyed our nice long Thanksgiving break, and now it is just under a month before the Christmas break.

Since it's almost December  we have a brand new theme and set of challenges for you over at Lasting Memories. The theme for December is "Best of 2016". We have gone back through our challenges and have picked the most popular ones to revisit in December.

Our first challenge is Glitter and Glam from our Oscars theme. Break out the glitter and the bling, or whatever you would like, to glam up your layout.

Since I have been in a holiday frame of mind, I have created a Christmas layout. I used Echo Park's "Merry Christmas" collection from a few years ago. Okay, so maybe it's from more than a few years ago - the copyright says 2010! It doesn't seem like it was that long ago!

The colors in this collection are a little darker and more muted than I generally tend to work with, and the colors in the photo were a little on the bright side, so I turned the photo to black and white to remedy the problem!

I used this older sketch from Sketches In Thyme that I found on Dani Cloutier's Close To My Heart Independent Consultant Facebook page.

To glam up my page I sprinkled some gold sequins across the page.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories blog to see the beautiful layouts form the rest of the team. We look forward to seeing what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Paper Play Sketches #23

Hello everyone! Today is the day before Thanksgiving here in the States, and I am sure there is a lot of preparations going on. We will be having a big family reunion of sorts with my husband's side of the family tomorrow (close to 100 family members will be there), and then since my son in law has to work Thanksgiving day, we will be having our big turkey dinner on Saturday. Any excuse for more turkey is a good excuse!

We have a new sketch posted over at Paper Play Sketches today, so if you're looking for something to do over this long holiday weekend, why don't you play along with us?! Here is the sketch:

I have several birthdays coming up, so along with trying to keep up with my Christmas cards, I am also trying to stay ahead on my birthday cards.

I used Pebbles' - "Birthday Wishes" collection for this card. There are so many fun colors and patterns in this collection. The sentiment is one of my favorites from Jillibean Soup.

Stop by the Paper Play Sketches blog to see the cards from the rest of the team. I do hope you find some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #298

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Today is our last day of school this week before the big Thanksgiving day holiday. I am excited for some time off, some good food, and lots of time with family that we don't get to see very often!

We have a new sketch posted at Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday today. This fun sketch is courtesy of Donna, and the optional theme for this week is to make a gatefold card.

I used up some more of my favorite Doodlebug Designs' - Here Comes Santa Claus - collection for this card. I love the bright colors on this card, and that little Santa is just too cute!

Head on over to the Try Stampin' blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the team. You have two weeks to link up to this challenge, and you can enter either on the blog or on the Facebook page here.

I hope you find some time to play along with us! We love to see your beautiful creations!

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #86

Hello everyone! Good Sunday morning to you! I hope you are having a good weekend, and that you are getting ready for the Thanksgiving holiday this week!

Today I am sharing the last card sketch of the month over at Sketch N Scrap. Lisa has created another great sketch for us!

I love the tag on the sketch and since I just made this tag for my Friday post, I thought it would be the perfect tag for this sketch! Having the tag all ready made up made this card come together rather quickly! I used up some more of my Doodlebug Designs - Here Comes Santa Claus 6x6 paper pad. I love this collection - so much so that I "may" have ordered a couple more of the 6x6 paper pads. I am quickly running out of papers to work with, and I have so much more I want to use it for!

Don't forget - we have a Design Team Call going on right now! If you like to work with sketches, can commit to one card and one layout per month, and be a part of an amazing team, then why don't you apply! You have until November 30th to apply. and you can read all about it here.

Check out the Sketch N Scrap blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. You have until the 30th to link up for your chance at a fun prize from design team member, Brandy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that you have a great day!

PDE Linky Party #147

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! It's finally (almost) the weekend, and after the week I have had, I am so ready for it!

We have a new challenge posted over at PDE Linky Party today. Since this is the third Friday of the month our challenge is:

CH #147 - All Tags!

I have created a Christmas tag using one of the embellishments I made for our "anything but a card" challenge last month at PDE Linky Party. Here is a picture of the embellishments I made for that challenge:

I added the Santa to my tag and the sentiment is from one of the cut apart sheets. I think they all go together to make a super cute tag! (Stay tuned - you may see this tag used on a card in a couple of day!)

Head on over to the PDE Linky Party blog to see the tags from the rest of the design team. I do hope that you play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Paper Play Sketches #22

Hello and Happy Hump Day! The middle of the week is here and the weekend is getting ever closer! I cannot believe that this is the last weekend before Thanksgiving! The weather we have been having has me fooled. It feels like it's about September instead of the middle of November!

Paper Play Sketches has a new sketch posted for you today. Janis has created another great sketch with lots of possibilities for us to work with.

I decided to take a break from all of the Christmas cards I have been making and make a birthday card instead. I have a few birthdays coming up in the next few weeks and I don't want to wait around until the last minute!

I used Fancy Pants' "Life Is Beautiful" 6x6 paper pad for this card. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart - Joyful Birthday - B1419. A pretty quick and easy card. I thought about adding in some bling, but decided to keep it flat for easier mailing.

Head on over to Paper Play Sketches to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the team. I do hope you'll join us!

Christmas Cards All Year Round Mid Month Inspiration

Hello, hello! I hope that your day is off to a good start!

It's the middle of the month and that means it's time for some mid month inspiration at Christmas Cards All Year Round! For November our challenge is to use a Santa and/or an Elf on your project.

I just loved this little Santa in the Echo Park - I Love Christmas - ephemera pack, and knew he would be perfect for this challenge.

I based my card off of this sketch from My Favorite Things that I found on Dani Cloutier - Close To My Heart Independent Consultant's Facebook page.

I punched the little reindeer out of one of the 6x6 papers and matted it on a scalloped circle. I hated to cut into that paper because those reindeer are so stinkin' cute!

Be sure to stop by Christmas Cards All Year Round to see the cards from the rest of the Christmas Belles. You have until the end of the month to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #186

Hello again! This is my second post of the day. If you are looking for my reveal for The Memory Nest, please scroll down or go here.

We have a new sketch posted over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge today. This is another fun sketch to work with!

This was a quick and easy card to pull together. The thing that took the longest was deciding on what papers to use! I used Echo Park's - I Love Christmas - 6x6 paper pad and ephemera pack. I think I should have gotten a couple of these ephemera packs - there are so many cute pieces and it makes it hard to decide to use them on a card or a layout!

Be sure to check our Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge on Wednesday when we have the full design team reveal for this sketch and the Top 3 from last week. I do hope you will play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Make It Monday #76 at The Memory Nest

Hello everyone! Good Monday morning to you! I am so glad that you have stopped by today!

Today is Make It Monday over at The Memory Nest. Leslie has provided us another great sketch to work with.

I created a layout of Ada trick or treating this year. This was the first year that she really got the whole idea of Halloween. Last year she refused to put her costume on - this year she wanted to wear it all the time! She was Skye from Paw Patrol, and a pretty darn cute one! Abby said she did really well with saying "Trick Or Treat" and "Thank You" at every house, but when she saw a golf cart full of scary clowns, she was ready to go home! She said that Ada enjoyed passing out the candy as much as getting it.

Since Ada and Abby's costumes were no where near traditional Halloween colors, I decided to make my layout in non-traditional, non-Halloween papers. I did embellish it with a few ghosts, and I kinda like this non-traditional Halloween layout!

Be sure to stop by The Memory Nest to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the team. I do hope that you play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Lasting Memories #319 - Triangles

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday to you! I hope you are having a good weekend! We have had a very nice weekend with getting to spend some time with my side of the family. My niece and great niece were down from Kansas City for a visit, and it was so good to get together and spend time with family.

We have a new challenge posted over at Lasting Memories today. Our theme for November is "All About Shapes" and this week our challenge is "triangles".  We want to see some triangles on your layout!

I could not wait to scrap this photo of Ada on Halloween! She just looks so cute as Skye from Paw Patrol, and I love that she's holding her Mommy's hand and carrying her trick or treat bag like a little lady! She is getting to be such a big girl and time just needs to slow down a little bit!

I based my layout off of this older sketch from Sketches In Thyme:

Head on over to the Lasting Memories blog to see the layouts from the rest of the team. I hope you join us this month for our "All About Shapes" challenges!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a fantastic day!

Stick It Down November Card Reveal

Hello everyone! I hope that you have had a good week and are ready for the weekend! We are still having beautiful weather around here, and I plan on getting out and enjoying it!

The full card design team reveal is today over at Stick It Down. Here's a reminder of the fun sketch, courtesy of Laura Rumble:

I knew I wanted to get my gelatos out and do some "smooshing" with them on this card. I'm not too used to working with them, so it took a few tries to get it how I wanted it, but I am pretty happy with the result.

Head on over to Stick It Down to see how the rest of the team interpreted this sketch. I hope you play along with us - I would love to see your take on this sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style #50

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a good start!

Today is my day to be featured over on the Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style blog with my take on this week's sketch. This sketch is courtesy of Cherie Averill.

It's getting that time of year to be thinking about December Daily, and even though I have not been successful in years past with getting one done, I am hopeful to do it this year! I have made my title page using this sketch.

I am not going to use any special kits for this project, just random papers and embellishments from my stash. I hope to get some use out of my much neglected stamps, and I really hope to use up some of my Christmas stash! I will be using a traditional color combo of red, green, white, black, silver, and gold. You may even see a little pink and light blue mixed in as well. I'm not worried about every page being matchy - matchy, I like it when the pages are a little different!

For this page I stamped the Christmas tree and the "hello" and cut them out. I die cut the letters for December a couple of times and glued them together for a little added thickness. I found that silver tinsel trim at the dollar store a couple of days ago and thought it would be cute draped at the top where the banner placement is on the sketch. A few silver sequins scattered about the page, and I've gotta say, I am excited to get started on my foundation pages, so stay tuned I will be sharing those with you throughout the next couple of months!

Be sure to check out the Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style blog for inspiration every single day! We have a great stamp set up for grabs as this months prize.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with another project to share with you!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday! Today is election day here in the states and I am going to be so glad for it to be over with! I am tired of all the political ads - on tv and in the mailbox - and the phone calls - ugh!

We have a new sketch posted over at Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday. This sketch is courtesy of Kaylin. Our optional theme this week is "Thanksgiving".

I made a thankful card, so I think that qualifies for the optional challenge! I love making this type of card - it's a great way to let my friends and family know how much they mean to me.

For my card I used Echo Park's - Fall Is In The Air collection. I thought that cute tag would be perfect for this sketch.

Head on over to Try Stampin' to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. As always, you have two weeks to play along, and you can enter your card on the blog or on the Facebook page here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Make It Monday #75

Hello and Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend and are ready to start the new week!

Today is Make It Monday over at The Memory Nest, and we have a great sketch for you! I am a big fan of circles, so this sketch was right up my alley!

I die cut several different sized circles from the pattern papers I chose - a mix of Kaiser Craft's Holly Jolly collection and Echo Park's Christmas Cheer collection. The papers in these two collections were a perfect match, even though they are from different companies. Since the circles already made this layout a little on the busy side, I opted to keep embellishments to a minimum and just add a few gold gems around the layout. After I took the photo I realized my title was on a slant, and that has been fixed as well!

Every year on Christmas eve we try to get a few fun family photos. This was one of my favorites from last year - it wasn't the best quality photo, but I love it anyway!

Head on over to The Memory Nest to see the layouts from the rest of the design team. I hope you find some time to play along with us this month. We love to see your creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

PDE Linky Party Ch #145

Happy Friday! We have made it to the end of the week! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? I don't think we have a single thing planned, and the last couple of weekends have been so busy, so it will be nice to just relax  and scrap!

We have a new challenge for you today at PDE Linky Party! It's the first Friday, so our challenge is:

Ch #145 - Anything Goes

I have made another Christmas card! I have really been enjoying making my Christmas cards this year! I am looking forward to the holiday season this year, and I can't wait to send out some holiday cheer by way of cards!

I used Carta Bella's Merry and Bright 6x6 paper pad and sticker sheet for this card. If I just keep at it, maybe I will get this collection used up this year!

Head on over to PDE Linky Party to see the creations from the rest of the team! I do hope you join us this week!

Paper Play Sketches #20

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a good week! We are still experiencing nice and warm temperatures this week. Looks like maybe by the end of the week that we will be a little closer to normal.

The middle of the week brings us a new sketch challenge at Paper Play Sketches. Janis has created another fun sketch for us to work with.

I used Carta Bella's Merry and Bright 6x6 paper pad and sticker sheet for this card. I've had this collection in my stash for a couple of years now - maybe more - and I would like to try and get it used up this year. I love the fun - non-traditional colors in this collection.

Head on over to Paper Play Sketches to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. I hope you have a chance to play along with us! I would love to see your take on the sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Sketch N Scrap Sketch #116

Hello again! This is my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday blog hop post, please scroll down or go here.

Today is November 1st - at least that's what the calendar says. The weather still feels like summertime! Makes me wonder how the winter is going to be.

Anyway, the first of the month means we have a brand new sketch for you at Sketch N Scrap! This sketch was created by the super talented Lisa.

I stuck pretty closely to this sketch, just using two photos instead of three. Oddly enough, I used Pebbles Birthday Wishes for this layout of Abby and Ada riding the frogs at Silver Dollar City. The colors in this line were a perfect match to the colors in the photos. Gotta love it when a collection can work for more things than what it was intended!

Head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see the layouts from the rest of the design team. You have until the end of the month to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday - Getting Ready For The Holidays Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Welcome to  Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday's "Getting Ready For The Holidays" blog hop!

Just one simple rule before we get started. In order to be entered into our prize drawing, you must leave a comment on every blog on the blog hop.

Here we go! You should have arrived here by way of Sharon's blog.

We have a new sketch for you today and a lot of inspiration on this blog hop! Along with the sketch our optional challenge is to add dimension.

For my card I used Close To My Heart's - C1665 Season Of Magic stamp set. I stamped the wreath in Topiary ink and the sentiment in Holiday Red. I also used Illustrated Faith's CHRISTmas collection. The greens look a little off in the photo, but they really are a good match.

The only thing that I changed on this sketch is the placement of the string. I didn't want it to cover up my stamped image, so I moved it down to the paper strip instead.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Next up on the hop is Jayme. Head on over to her blog to see her beautiful card!

Remember, to be eligible for the prize you need to leave a comment on every blog post along the hop! You can enter your card on the Try Stampin' blog or on our Facebook page here. You have two weeks to play along with this challenge!
