Hello, hello! Happy February 1st! It's the start of a new month, and that means it is time for a new Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash challenge. I did not start the year off great with my January stash bash kit. I barely touched it. I have been scrapping - working on another album for a friend - so I didn't have a lot of time for my personal scrapping. It is all ready and waiting for me when I do a minute though! This month may be the same, but we'll see if I can sneak in some time for my own scrapping.
If you don't know what this challenge is all about, here's how it works: On the 1st of each month, we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month, we will try to use as much of our stash kit as possible on different projects. This will be a just-for-fun challenge, so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? We hope you will join us in our quest to bash our stash! If you play along, link up on either my blog or Lisa's blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month.
Here are the requirements for your kit:
To create your kit, pull 3-5 patterned papers (any size), 2 - 3 embellishments, 2 - 3 cardstock sheets, alphas (stamps, stickers, etc.), and our focus item for our stash bash for February is doilies.
Here is this month's kit:
With the recent snowstorm that hit the majority of the United States, it definitely has me in the mood to scrap some winter/snow photos. I pulled paper and embellishments from the Chillin' With My Snowmies collection from Echo Park, and this kit makes me want to scrap all of my winter photos!
Here is a closer look at the papers:
These are the sides I plan to use, but the back sides are pretty awesome, too, so you may see those as well. Here is a look at the back side of the papers:
I pulled six sheets of cardstock - one of (almost) all the colors in the collection:
I pulled all of the cut-apart card sheets to put in my kit. Since I am mostly scrapping in pocket pages, I thought I could get some good use out of these:
Here are the embellishments that I picked:
I pulled the sticker book, 12x12 sticker sheet, and the chipboard from the collection, heart stickers, and puffy heart stickers from Freckled Fawn, enamel dots, and a few snowflakes that I had already cut out and put in with the collection, word and phrase stickers, and a frame that were all in with the collection.
Here are the alphas I picked:
White and black puffy alpha stickers, and I pulled these puffy word stickers - appropriate for a title, I think!
Scraps are no longer a requirement for our kits, but I had several in with the collection, so I pulled those, too:
Our focus for February is doilies. I don't have a ton of doilies, but I pulled what I have - a couple of sizes of white doilies. I may just have to get my inks out and try adding some color to some of them. I do have a couple of metal dies that make doilies, so I could always pull those, too.
Here's hoping I can actually dig into my kit this month!
Be sure to head over to Lisa's blog - My Creative Endeavors - to see the beautiful kit she has put together. Remember, this is a just-for-fun challenge, but if you do play along and put together your own stash bash kit, add it to the linky below, and we will be sure to check it out and cheer you on!
Here are the rules: 1. Follow the challenge prompt to create a kit to work with throughout the month. You may use other items, but please concentrate on using your kit, and link it below. 2. Create new, not previously posted projects using your stash kit. 3. If you have a blog, please include the challenge graphic and a link to our challenge in your posts. 4. You may link to social media if you don't have a blog. If you share on Instagram, please make sure to use #lisaandlorisgreatstashbash2026
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a wonderful day!
