7.4.16

Hello, hello! I hope you have had a good day! It was a beautiful day around here today - really makes me ready for spring. I am back to share a layout with you this evening!

I had a chance to play along with another challenge over at Soul Scrappers. This one was a "lift" challenge and they provided a layout for you to scraplift.

Here is what I came up with:

I loved the overall design of the "lift" layout, and I especially loved that they used the date for the title. I dug in my drawer of Bella Blvd goodies for this layout of Ada on the 4th of July. I love that all of their collections go so well together! I was able to use up a few scraps on this layout as well.

If you would like to see the layout that I "lifted" head on over to Soul Scrappers and check it out! I would love it if you played along!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good night!

A Couple Of Birthday Cards

Hello everyone! Happy Monday to you! Do those two words really go together? Happy and Monday? Well, today is a happy Monday because I have a couple of cards to share with you!

Soul Scrappers is celebrating their 7th birthday this month, and they have several birthday related challenges going on right now. It's been a while since I have played along with them, and since I am always in need of birthday cards, I decided now would be a good time to join back in the fun!

Their first challenge is to add a balloon to your card.

I have used Simple Stories' "Let's Party" collection for both of my cards today. I actually picked up the paper pad at Hobby Lobby back last year, and their cut apart cards are perfect for greeting cards!

Their second challenge is to add cake to your card.

Once again I used one of the 3x4 cut apart cards for this card. I added  a couple of Heidi Swapp enamel stars to the panel and stamped the sentiment on the inside.

If you love to play along with challenges, you need to check Soul Scrappers out! They have a wide variety of challenges each month, so come join the fun!

Christmas Card Challenges #5

Hello again! This is my second post of the day. If your looking for my Lasting Memories reveal, please scroll down or go here.

There's a new challenge up at Christmas Card Challenges today. As always our rules are to make a holiday or Christmas card, and we offer up an optional challenge to help inspire you. This week's challenge is a word prompt - SNOW!

I have used a snowflake embossing folder and a snowflake die on my card. I have also used up some more of my scraps from Echo Park's I Love Winter 6x6 paper pad. I am going to have to go back through and see just how many cards I have made using this collection. It is almost all gone!

The sentiment is from the Simple Christmas stamp set by Neat and Tangled.

Head on over to Christmas Card Challenges to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. We hope to see you playing along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day!

Lasting Memories #329 - Use Your Stuff - L-O-V-E

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday to you! I hope that you are having a good weekend. We have had a busy one around here with birthday celebrations.

It's almost a new month, and that means we have a new theme and a new set of challenges over at Lasting Memories today. Our theme for February is "All In The Name Of LOVE", and our first challenge is - Use your stuff - use an item from your stash that begins with each letter in the word LOVE.

For my layout I have used - L- layers, O - orange, V - Vellum, E - Enamel Dots.

This layout is of Matthew and Ada from back in August. I think the realization that he was getting ready to head off to college was sinking in, and he was soaking up all the time with his little buddy that he could. Of course Ada was loving every minute of it! I found them one day in Shane's room, playing Mario Kart on his DS. He is so good and patient with Ada, and was more than happy to play with her for as long as she wanted.

Here's a couple of close ups of the clusters so you can see the vellum stars.

I based my layout off of this sketch from January 15 at Stuck?! Sketches. I always love a sketch where the elements are a bit on a diagonal.

Head on over to Lasting Memories to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. We hope to see you playing along with us this month!

PDE Linky Party #157 - Anything But A Card

Hello and Happy Friday! We have finally made it to the weekend! This week has been a busy week with both of our boys' birthdays in it. Matthew's birthday was Tuesday, but we will be celebrating it this weekend when he comes home from college, and Shane's birthday was yesterday. It's always a busy time, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

We have a new challenge for you today at PDE Linky Party and this week our challenge is:

Ch#157 - Anything But A Card

I made a birthday tag to go along with the birthday card that I made earlier in the week. You can see that card here. I thought it would be a nice matching set! I used scraps of paper that I had left over from the card, and I stamped the same sentiment on both.

I based this tag off of a free sketch from Scrapbook Generation's Create Magazine from April 2014. You can find it here.

Head on over to PDE Linky Party to see the projects from the rest of the design team. We hope you have some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a great day!

Paper Play Sketches #32

Hello, hello! Here we are at the middle of the week already! The weekend will be here before we know it!

We have a great new sketch posted over at Paper Play Sketches today.

I have made my Week 1 title card for my Project Life Style album using the sketch, and I love the way that it turned out!

I used Echo Park's "Just Be You" collection for this card. The colors in this collection are just so pretty - I love it!

Stay tuned - you will be seeing my completed layout a little later on!

Head on over to Paper Play Sketches and check out the design team creations using this sketch. We hope you play along with us - we would love to see your take on the sketch. Your project doesn't have to be a card - it can be any type of paper project - as long as we can see the sketch in it.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #196

Hello again! This is my second post of the day, so if you are looking for my Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday reveal, please scroll down or go here.

I am back to share my take on this week's sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here's a look at the sketch:

I decided since today is my oldest son's birthday - and the first that he is celebrating away at college instead of at home - that it would only be fitting to share a birthday card with you.

I just used a full piece of patterned paper for the background instead of using paper strips, other than that everything is just like the sketch. All the papers that I used for this card were from my scrap pile.

The sentiment is from an Art C stamp and cut set. There is no name on the packaging, but it comes with a label and banner die, and several sentiments.

Be sure to stop by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog. The full design team reveal will be tomorrow, and we have a design team call going on right now. You can find all of the details about it on the blog.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #306

Hello! Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a good start. So far, so good around here!

We have a new sketch posted at Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday today. This week's sketch is courtesy of Kaylin, and the optional theme is "Bold and Bright".

Since it's January and we had gone 8 days with no sunshine, I thought I would try the "Bold and Bright" theme for my card. It is definitely bright!

I used Simple Stories "Carpe Diem" for the blue and pink paper, and the yellow is from Echo Park's Sweet Summertime. I used Close To My Heart's Share the Love (CC1060) stamp set for the typewriter and the sentiment. The puffy hearts I picked up at Target's $1 spot a week or two ago.

Head on over to Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team.

I hope you join us for this challenge. You have two weeks to enter, and you can enter on the blog or on our Facebook page here.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a great day!

PDE Linky Party Ch #156

Hello again! This is my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Sketch N Scrap reveal, please scroll down or go here.

Today is the third Friday of the month, so our new challenge at PDE Linky Party is:

Ch #156 - Tags

I am really liking to make tags at least once a month, and the tag I have made for you today is quick and easy!

For this tag I let my pattern paper scrap do all the work! This paper was already divided into the polka dot/grid paper on the diagonal, so I cut my tag out to get both portions (fairly) centered. The heart I die cut 5 times and stacked it one on top of the other to give it a little bit of dimension.

The "XOXO" sentiment was an extra that I had stamped for the card from my earlier post today. At first I was going to toss it because I stamped it a little bit crooked on the tab, but I decided to cut it out and add it to my tag.

A quick and easy tag ready to be added to a Valentine's Day goodie!

Head on over to PDE Linky Party to see the beautiful tags from the rest of the design team. We hope to see you playing along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a fantastic day!

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #90

Hello and Happy Friday! I hope you have had a good week and are ready for the weekend. My oldest son headed back to college on Monday, so we are finally back into a regular routine!

We have a great new sketch for you today at Sketch N Scrap, courtesy of Lisa. I can already tell that this is going to be a favorite of mine!

Like I said in yesterday's post, my normal go to color combo is red, white, and kraft, but this year it has changed to black, white, and red. I'm sure before Valentine's Day actually gets here you'll probably be seeing one or two with kraft, but for now I am liking this one!

I stuck pretty close to the sketch - because I liked it - the only thing that I changed is where the sentiment is located.

Head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. You have until the end of the month to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be back soon with another project to share with you!

Perfectly Created Chaos Ch #9

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday to you!

We have a new challenge up at Perfectly Created Chaos today. Challenge #9 is to use black, white, and one other color.

;

I have chosen to use black, white, and red, and to make a Valentine's Day card. I probably should have made an anniversary card since today is mine and my hubby's 27th wedding anniversary! That might have been more fitting!

For this card I used Bella Blvd's Color Chaos collection for the striped paper, and I cut the lacy circle with a die from Spellbinders. The heart is cut from red glitter paper using a die from Lawn Fawn. My sentiment is from Studio G.

Usually my go to color combo for Valentine's Day/love cards is kraft, red, and white, but this year I have been using black, white, and red more and more. I guess I needed a change!

Head on over to Perfectly Created Chaos to see the lovely projects from the rest of the design team. We do hope that you have a chance to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Paper Play Sketches #31

Hello, hello!

We have a new sketch today at Paper Play Sketches! Why don't you play along with us?

I have a lot of Project Life style cards in my stash. Not only do I have several core kits, but most collections these days come with a sheet or two of cut apart cards in them, so I have a lot that I need to get to using! When I see a sketch like this one with the large panel I immediately think of these cards.

The card that I have used is from Simple Stories - "Life In Color" cut apart sheet. There wasn't really too much else that needed to be done, I did punch out some hearts to add to it, but the card did all of the work for me!

Head on over to Paper Play Sketches to see the fabulous cards from the rest of the design team. We do hope you'll play along with us. We would love to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day!

Little Hipster - Sketches In Thyme #259

Hello everyone! I hope that your day is off to a good start!

Today is my day to be featured over on the Sketches In Thyme blog using this fabulous sketch from Sara:

I really liked the look of this sketch when I first saw it, and I am sure I will be using it again!

I loved the idea of the squares of paper lined up messily at the bottom of the page. I also had this one photo of Ada that I had taken after I picked her up for the day back in October. She was kind of in a cranky mood, or maybe being a little diva might be a better description, because boy, did she get upset when the wind blew her hood off of her head. She wanted it back on, even though she was getting in the car. To me she just looks like a little hipster with her hood up and looking so sober!

I did do a bit of stamping above the squares, but it is in a light pink and a bit hard to see in the photo, but in person you can see it easier. The "love" clip has been in my stash for quite a while. After I had added it, I wanted to add a couple of hearts, than I went a little crazy and decided to scatter a bunch of hearts and sequins down the side of the page. There wasn't a lot to be said about this layout, so I did not add any journaling to the front, but I will add what little bit I do want to say on the back, or hidden behind the paper layers.

Head on over to Sketches In Thyme for some awesome inspiration every single day of the week! We have an awesome prize up for grabs this month, so play along with any - or all - of our sketches for a chance to win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Make It Monday #80 @ The Memory Nest

Hello everyone! Happy Monday to you! I hope that you had a good weekend! After a weekend of freezing rain, which caused us to lose a big limb on our pear tree, we are now forecast to have thunderstorms and 60 degree weather today! Crazy weather around here!

Today is Make It Monday #80 over at The Memory Nest. Leslie has created a fun collage type sketch for us to work with.

I have used Simple Stories "Winter Wonderland" collection on this layout of Ada enjoying the first snow of the season. We didn't get a lot back in December, but enough that she could go out and walk around in it. Oh how she wanted to build a snowman, but there wasn't enough to do that! She kept on about it until Abby finally took her out and they built a tiny snowman.

The only thing that is not from the Simple Stories collection is the little snowman stamp that says, "Baby It's Cold Outside". That is from a Studio G $1 stamp set. When I finally decided I "needed" this collection, it was mostly sold out, and about all I could get was a few sheets of paper and the enamel dots, so I had to get a little creative with what I had, but I love the way it turned out.

I added in a couple of snowflake die cuts and buttons for embellishments. I will add in a little bit of journaling on the "I {heart} winter" block when I figure out what to say in that little space!

Head on over to The Memory Nest to see the fabulous layouts from the rest of the design team. You have until the end of the month to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Christmas Card Challenges #4

Hello again! This is my fourth post of the day. If you are looking for my Christmas Cards All Year Round reveal, please scroll down or go here. If you are looking for my Love To Scrap Challenge Blog reveal, please go here. For my Lasting Memories reveal, please go here.

We have a new challenge up over at Christmas Card Challenges today. As always, our rules are to create a holiday or Christmas card. We offer up an optional challenge if you need a little help with inspiration and this week it is a photo challenge.

I was inspired by the presents in the photo for my card. I used Echo Park's "Christmas Delivery" 6x6 paper pad for it. I thought this present paper was perfect for this challenge. The sticker sentiment is from Echo Park's "Tis the Season" sticker sheet. The colors in that older collection matched perfectly with the colors in this new collection.

Stop by the Christmas Card Challenges blog to see how the rest of the design team was inspired by the photo.

We hope you have a chance to play along with us! Don't forget, our challenges are now open for two weeks!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Lasting Memories #327 - Ribbon, Washi Tape, Or Paper Strips

Hello again! I am back with my third post of the day. If you are looking for my Christmas Cards All Year Round reveal, please scroll down or go here. For my Love To Scrap Challenge Blog reveal, please scroll down or go here.

Lasting Memories has a new challenge posted today. In January we are focusing on using up some of that forgotten stash, and this week's challenge is to use ribbon, washi tape, or paper strips.

For my layout I chose to use lots and lots of washi tape!

First of all, I started with a light grey background paper matted on a piece of black cardstock. Since the photo I wanted to use didn't have a lot of color in it, I wanted to go nice and bright and colorful with the washi tape. There were several times when I almost went with paper strips instead of the washi tape, but I kept working with it and I like the end result.

The photo had some extra space at the bottom, so I decided to just add my title directly onto the photo - something I don't do very often, but I really like the look.

The journaling says - Oh my word - I LOVE this photo of Ada! It has got to be one of my all time favorites. Her carefree attitude is contagious. Not a worry in the world - just enjoying being outside, going on a walk with the dogs!

Head on over to the Lasting Memories blog to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. We do hope you get a chance to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back with one more project to share with you a little later!

LTSCB #93 - Anything Goes

Hello again! This is my second post of the day, so if you are looking for my Christmas Cards All Year Round reveal, please scroll down or go here.

I am back to share my mid month inspiration for the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog. We are now a once monthly challenge blog with more design team inspiration for you on the 15th! We do have a few rules for you to follow, so check them out on the blog on the right sidebar.

Our challenge for January is "Anything Goes".

I am part of Team A and we got to work with images from DRS Designs. I picked Snowman Bird Buddies and Snow Better Friend greeting.

For my card I used up some more scraps from Echo Park's "I Love Winter" 6x6 paper pad. I thought it was a great match for this little snowman and his little birdie friend!

Stop by the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. You have until the end of the month to play along with us!

Christmas Cards All Year Round - January Mid Month Inspiration

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a good weekend! We did get the ice that was forecast for Friday - about a quarter of an inch - and thankfully we only lost power for a couple of hours early on Saturday morning. The temps are staying above freezing now, so it looks like we are done with the ice for a while!

Since it's the middle of the month, we are sharing some mid month inspiration with you over at Christmas Cards All Year Round today. Our January challenge is to add "Snowflakes" to your project. I would have rather been seeing snowflakes instead of ice this weekend!

For my card I have kept it pretty clean and simple. I am still trying to keep my cards a little flatter for mailing, but I think a few added sequins or some bling would really add to this one.

I used the inlaid die technique for this card. I die cut the lacy circle die and the snow flake die at the same time in white, then die cut another snowflake in the mint green color, and pieced it back together. I embossed the mint green square with my swiss dot embossing folder and matted it on white. The sentiment is from a Studio G $1 bin stamp set that I got ages ago. Another quick and easy card!

Head on over to Christmas Cards All Year Round to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. We have a fun prize being offered up, and you have until the end of the month to play along!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! It's going to be a busy day around here, so I will be back soon with another project to share!

PDE Linky Party Ch #155 - Cards Or Project Life Cards

Hello everyone! Happy Friday to you! Due to the threat of an ice storm today, we are once again out of school. I could get used to these three and four day weekends - unless we are without power, then it wouldn't be so fun!

We have a new challenge up at PDE Linky Party today, and since it is the second Friday of the month our challenge is :

Ch# 155 - Cards or Project Life Cards

We have changed things up a bit for the new year and have added Project Life style cards to the second Friday challenge.

Since I am trying to stay caught up on my 2017 album, and finish 2015 and 2016, I decided to make a Project Life style card for this week.

All supplies on this card are from Simple Stories "Life In Color" collection, and the "picture perfect" stamp is from Simple Stories "DIY" clear stamp set.

A quick little card that is ready and waiting for a spot in my album!

Be sure to check out the PDE Linky Party blog to see the beautiful cards and Project Life style cards from the rest of the design team. I hope you get a chance to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you are seeing some winter weather like we are, stay in and stay safe! Have a great day!

Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style Sketch #58

Hello, hello! I am so happy that you are here! We are preparing for a possible ice storm around here tomorrow...I am just hoping we don't get it!

Today is my day to be featured on the Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style blog. This week we are working with this great sketch from Cherie Averill:

Here is my take on the sketch:

I turned the sketch and made a 6x4 filler card for my title page for this year. I used Simple Stories "Posh" collection for this layout.

I kept my title page pretty simple for this year. I don't have any die cutting machines - although I have one on my wish list - so I went old school on the numbers for my year and traced some old chipboard numbers that I have and cut them out.

I look forward to getting started on my 2017 album, and I am so hopeful that I can somewhat keep up with it, and finish 2015 and 2016.

Check out the Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style blog for inspiration often. I hope that you play along with us in this new year!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a great day!

Paper Play Sketches #30

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday to you! I do believe that we are finally settling back into our old routine! Finally!

The middle of the week means a new sketch is posted over at Paper Play Sketches today. Janis has created another fabulous sketch for us to work with, and it is one that I know I will be using again!

For this card I have used all scraps from my scrap pile. They were all laying on top and I thought the teal and the red looked great together, and it meant more scraps got used up!

The stamp is from Imaginisce (B-day Bash), and I stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The present was colored with Juniper ink from Close To My Heart.

Another card that came together very quickly!

Be sure to stop by Paper Play Sketches to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. Remember - your project can be any type of paper project - it doesn't have to be a card!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #194

Hello, hello! I hope you are all having a good day! I am back with a quick post this afternoon, sharing the latest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

For this card I stayed fairly true to the sketch! All of the elements are in the same general area, I just made my background pieces a little larger, and the strip at the bottom I turned into a big banner.

I used Simple Stories "Posh" collection for this card, with the exception of the background, it is from Simple Stories "Let's Party" collection.

A pretty quick and easy card today!

The design team reveal for this sketch will be tomorrow, so be sure to stop by Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the team. We have a design team call going on, so if you're interested in that you can find out all the details on the blog. This is a great group of ladies to work with!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #304

Hello everyone! Good Tuesday morning to you! I hope that your week is off to a good start.

After a little break we are back with a new sketch today at Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday. Kaylin has created a great sketch for us to work with, and our optional theme is - "Something old and something new".

I am getting a head start on a few Valentine's Day/Love cards, so expect to see quite a few over the next month or two! I had every intention of using both something old and something new on my card, but as it turns out I just used only old things on my card.

I've used some old Doodlebug papers for the reds, some old stamps from Close To My Heart, an old embossing folder that has been in my stash forever, and this may just be the first time I have used it, and an old scalloped circle die. I love the way this card turned out, even if it is made with old product!

Stop by the Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. You have two weeks to play along, and you can link up over on the blog or on our Facebook page here.

We also have a design team call going on now, so if you are interested, check out the blog for the details.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Lasting Memories #326 - Buttons, Brad, Bling

Hello everyone! I hope that you have had a good first week of the new year! This first week of the new year has brought us freezing cold temperatures, a little bit of snow, and our first snow days of the season! Now it can warm up and we can be done with the snow! If only it worked like that!

We've got a new challenge up over at Lasting Memories today! For January we are focusing on using up some of our stash. This week's challenge is

LM #326 - Buttons, Brads, or Bling

Use some buttons, brads, or bling on your layout. You can use a little, or a lot, use just one of the items, or use them all.

For my layout I have used some wood buttons and some bling.

Supplies used - Patterned Paper - grey background - Echo Park - Capture Life, red strip - Echo Park - Family Reunion, all other paper is from Simple Stories - Life In Color. Wood buttons - American Crafts, bling - Studio G,  other wood veneer and doily transparencies - from my stash.

I just love these photos of Ada when she was 9 months old. She and Abby were down for the night, and we decided to go to town to pick up a couple of movies and some snacks. I don't think Ada was very happy with our impromptu trip to town. I think she would have rather stayed home! I love that serious look on her face, and the way she is hugging her sock monkey!

My layout was based off of this October 2016 sketch from Picture This! Challenges

Head on over to Lasting Memories to see the layouts from the rest of the design team. If you have some buttons, brads, or bling in your stash that needs to be used up, why don't you join our challenge this week? You have until January 27th to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a fantastic day!

2017 Scrappy Goals

Hello friends! I am popping in here really quickly to share my 2017 scrappy goals with you. I did this a couple of years ago, and I really enjoyed being able to go back at the end of the year and see how much I had done. I realized that I never posted any goals last year and I kind of missed it, so I am getting this on here now so I don't forget.

My scrappy goals for 2017 are as follows:

  • Stay current on my 2017 Project Life album - really my plan for this is to have January done by the end of February, February done by the end of March, and so on. I know "me" and I know that I need to be a little bit behind. I'm not sure why, but it probably has something to do with stressing myself out to the point of not wanting to do it, if I put a weekly deadline on it.

  • Finish up my 2015 Project Life album and start 2016 - Yep, I am still working on 2015, and I thought I had some weeks done in 2016, but nope, I haven't even started on it! I don't worry at all about being behind. I have my planners with a ton of information in them, and I am confident that one of these days I will get them done!

  • Finish Ada's First Year album - this was meant to be a first birthday gift...Ada just turned 3! It is time to get this album finished up!

  • Make at least one layout a month using older photos - I have so many photos of my kids when they were little that I still want to scrap. I am hoping if I make it a goal to make at least one layout a month, that it will be a good reminder for me to get it done!

  • Keep printed photos organized - I did really well in 2013, 2014, and 2015 of keeping my printed photos in order by week and month in photo boxes. 2016 I still need to get organized. So, I am going to make sure I start 2017 off right and keep them organized by week and month as I go. I will also be working on 2016, and then I will go back to my older photos and try to at least get them in the right years!

  • Get finished layouts into albums! - I need to find me a good album sale, because I am going to need quite a few in order to get all of my finished layouts into albums, but it is my goal to get it done this year.

  • Get my embellishments organized - I desperately need to get this done. I need them organized so I know where everything is at. I am tired of looking for hours for something I know I have and not being able to find it. This is the year to get it done!

  • Make up kits mixing my older stash with my newer stuff and use them! - I know this will help me out immensely when it comes time for me to sit down and scrap. If everything is all together in one kit so I am not searching for it...that will save me a lot of time!

  • Send out all those cards that I make throughout the year - I am thinking at least 2 cards per month, but I would really like to send out one a week...we will see!
That is it! I will revisit these at the end of the year, and hopefully will be able to say that I met most, if not all, of these goals!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

PDE Linky Party Ch #154

Hello and Happy Friday! Thanks to a little bit of snow we are having our second snow day, so it's going to be a nice long weekend for us!

We have a new challenge up today at PDE Linky Party, and since it is the first Friday of the month, our challenge is:

Ch #154 - Anything Goes

I am trying to get a head start on the birthday cards that I am going to need over the next few months. Over in our 100 Pattern Paper Challenge Facebook group we are focusing on stickers in January. As I was rounding up the stickers that I hope to get used up, I came across these birthday stickers and decided to use a couple on this card.

All of the papers on this card are from my scrap bin. I embossed the background with a triangle embossing folder. I wish I had paid more attention before I stuck the papers down - the more I look at the embossed triangles, the more they look like little banners to me...if I had just turned the paper the other way! I'll remember that for the next time!

I also based this card off of this sketch from Mojo Monday.

Be sure to stop by PDE Linky Party to see the beautiful creations from the rest of the design team. We hope you start the year off right by joining our challenge!

Also, if you are like me and are looking to use up your stash in this new year, come check out our 100 Pattern Paper Challenge group. Not only are we working on using up those older patterned papers, but we will be working on other stash items throughout the year as well. We would love it if you joined us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!
