Hello, hello! Happy Saturday and Happy August 1st! I can't believe it is the start of the new month already. The summer is flying by, and it will be time for school to start before we know it.
Since it's the start of a new month, that means it is time for a new Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash Kit Challenge. If you don't know what this challenge is all about, here's how it works: On the 1st of each month, we will post a challenge prompt and the stash kit we have created using that prompt. During the month, we will use as much of our stash kit as possible on different projects. This will be a just-for-fun challenge, so there is no monthly prize - but isn't the real prize using up our stash? We hope you will join us in our quest to bash our stash! If you play along, link up on either my blog or Lisa's blog (or both if you choose) so that we can see who is joining us each month.
Here are the requirements for our August kit:
To create your kit, pull 3-5 patterned papers (any size - 12x12, 6x8, 6x6, etc.), 2-3 embellishments, 2-3 cardstock sheets, alphas (stamps, stickers, etc.), and our focus item for our stash bash for August is washi tape.
Here is my kit for August:
I wanted to play with the Echo Park Sunkissed collection this month, but was having a hard time choosing just 5 papers, so I threw in the whole collection! I remembered my cardstock. I remembered my embellishments. I remembered my focus item, but I once again forgot to add alphas! One of these months I will remember them!
Here is a look at the papers in this collection:
I have the sides I plan on using shown in this photo, but there is a good chance I'll be using the back sides of most of these papers, so you can see the back sides here:

Here are the cardstock papers I have pulled:
I used the rainbow striped paper to match my cardstock and came up with some pretty good matches.
Here are the embellishments:
I had the sticker sheet, sticker book, ephemera pieces, frames and tags pack, enamel dots, and the 6x6 from the collection. I also had a few random sticker sheets thrown in with this collection, so I left them in there, too.
That is it for my kit! I have gone through all of the papers and embellishments and made a list of layouts I want to make with this collection. I always do better when I have some sort of plan for my kit before the month starts. I am excited to see how much I can get used up this month!
