UYS #311 - For the Moms

Hello and Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend. Ours was filled with lots of outside time and family fun.

Use Your Stuff has a new challenge posted today and this week we are celebrating all the Moms - or mother figures - out there.

I have created a Mother's Day card using Fancy Pants' - Office Suite - 6x6 paper pad. I have been hoarding this paper pad - and especially this floral paper - for a long time. I just love that floral paper and the colors, too. It was hard to cut into it, but what a pretty card for a special Mom to receive!

I based my card off of this older sketch from My Favorite Things:

This is one of my favorite go-to sketches to show off those pretty papers that I have in my stash.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #204

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has a new sketch posted over on the blog, and I am here today to share my take on it with you. 

For this Mother's Day card I have used Simple Stories "Love and Adore" 6x6 paper pad, and the light pink doily is from the sticker sheet. Since I have zero stamp sets that just say "Happy Mother's Day", I have printed off the sentiment using the Magnolia Sky font on my computer. I changed up the placement of my sentiment since I didn't have much room the the top of my card to include one there.

Happy Mother's Day with Stick It Down

Today is reveal day for the rest of the card team at Stick It Down! Here's a reminder of what the card sketch looks like:

For this month's card I have made a Mother's Day card for my daughter. This is her second year of being a mother, and I wanted to let her know what a great job she is doing with Miss Ada.

This was my first attempt at a center step card. I always love them when I see them, but I have just never taken the time to try my hand at one. I am so happy to finally give it a shot. I can't believe how incredibly easy it was to make! There are a few things I know now that will make it even easier the next time I make one. It's always fun to learn new things and like them enough to try again!
