Good Monday morning! I am so excited to share with you my first project for Use Your Stuff today! This is a talented group of ladies and I am so honored to be working with them.
Challenge #171 is to be inspired by a song. The first song that came to mind was "You are my sunshine" and I went with it. Little Miss Ada definitely brings a lot of sunshine to our lives!
I did something on this layout that I rarely do. I did not use a sketch and I'm happy with how it turned out! Almost every layout I do is based off of a sketch.
I used October Afternoon's Farmhouse collection that has been in my stash for ages, and the flair from Lawn Fawn is about a year old, too, and that gold thread - I've had it since my cross stitching days - over 5 years I'm sure.
I hid what little bit of journaling I had on a tag behind the photo.
I am also linking this up over at Crash Your Stash. (This is #22/50!)
Be sure to head on over to Use Your Stuff and see what songs have inspired the design team. There is a lot of inspiration over there! I hope you have time to play along with the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by - I will be back soon to share some more projects with you!
Adorable Lori! I think I still have some of that paper line left and I must take a leaf out of your book and look at my older stash! I am ALWAYS working with sketches so find it so tricky to design a page myself but yours is fabulous! Just goes to show what you can do with a few rectangles of paper! xxx
