Sketch N Scrap #223 - Wild About You

 Hello, everyone! Happy Thursday to you! We are getting ever closer to the weekend and I am ready for it!

Can you believe it is already time for the mid-month sketch at Sketch N Scrap? April is flying right on by! Today's sketch is courtesy of Sketch Artist Heather and it is a fun one!

And this is what I came up with:

I am doing a pretty good job working through my Great Stash Bash kit this month. It seems like I am mostly using up my scraps, but I'm happy to get them out of my stash, as well! I used the last bit of that light blue paper and the green dot paper on this layout and I'm doing a pretty good job at using some of the stickers/chipboard that I had in my kit. 

When I started this layout I had no idea that I would be embellishing it with those dinosaurs - but who says dinosaurs have to only be on a boy layout?! 

I wanted to mat the white background on a piece of light blue cardstock but didn't have any so I used some ink and a water brush and went around the edges of the white cardstock. I really like how it turned out and I'm sure I will doing this again soon. 

I took these photos of Ada last fall and I just love that smiling little face!

Instead of scattering my hearts around my layout, like is shown on the sketch, I kept them in a cluster around my title. I even managed to use up quite a few little gems! I have so many packs of gems and I need to remember to reach for them once in awhile instead of always going with enamel dots.
