Not Today Nana - Sketch N Scrap #

Hello, everyone! Happy Tuesday to  you! I hope that you are having a good week so far.

Today I am sharing a layout that I created using the April 1st sketch from Sketch N Scrap. Here is the sketch that Sketch Artist Stacy created for us to use:

And this is what I came up with:

I took these photos of Ada in April of 2017 - I can't believe that was 4 years ago! We had these pretty purple wildflowers growing in our field and I wanted to get a photo of Ada amongst them. She was not having any of it! Maybe she was tired from our walk and wanted to go back to the house, or maybe she  just didn't want me to take another photo of her, whatever the case, she was not having it! No matter how many times I said her name or told her to look at me, she just would not do it.

Here are a couple of close-ups:

I found a flower punch in my supplies that I thought looked like the flowers in the photos. I punched them out of the light and dark purple paper. I love the way they look on the layout.

I used paper scraps from my April Great Stash Bash kit. The purple dot paper and the multi-striped paper strip are from CTMH, too, I just hadn't added them to my original kit. What scraps are left of those papers will go into my kit for me to try to use this month.

The title is a mix of stamped letters from The Stamp Market and foam Thickers that I don't even know where they came from! I think I got them in a destash from someone a long time ago but I'm not sure. At least this set had all of the letters that I needed!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

  1. Lori, just had to comment on this one. So glad you scrapped it. She's adorable and hey, she posed, just not like you wanted her to. I bet now you're glad you took the photos! Great story! xoxo
