The middle of the month means we have a new sketch for you today at Sketch N Scrap. Heather has created a great sketch for us this time around. I think this just may be one of my favorites from her!
Okay, so I have a little confession to make. So many of my older photos don't have the date written on the back of them. Thank goodness I have done much better with my more recent photos! I do remember specific things that happened while we were at the park that day, but I have no idea exactly when it was. I see Abby is wearing her Spongebob t-shirt, and I do know that she was Spongebob crazy when she was around 12 or 13, and she has lightened her hair, which she did the summer before she went into junior high, so I am confident that these photos are from the summer of 2013, but that's as close as it gets!
For this layout I have used Shimelle's "Star Shine" papers. The colors in this collection were a great match for the park equipment and Abby's shirt. For the title - which is just her name - I die cut the letters and then outlined them once they were on the layout to help them stand out a little better.
Head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. You have until the end of the month to play along with any of our sketches for a chance at a fun prize.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be back soon with another project!
Lovely layout Lori! LOVE the yellow and the other pretty, bright colors. Good luck with your goal! I think we all have a "scrappy goal" this year!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I did the same thing "back in the day"!!! It's weird how you can remember all the random details but not the date lol! I didn't even know this was your daughter til I read the post, she has really changed!!! Amazing job with the sketch and I love the papers you used, so bright and cheery!
ReplyDeleteWow fantastic layout and I agree would have not known it was your daughter if you didn't have it in the post. I fall in this category too of pictures with no dates shame on me as my Mom atleast added our age to the backs of the pictures. Cool to see the old photos scrapped :)
