Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day! It's looking like it may be a little busy here on the blog today!
Sketch N Scrap has an exclusive new sketch up today on our Facebook Event page here. Head on over and play along with us - you have until June 2nd to play along for a chance at a fun prize!
Here is a look at the sketch:
For this layout, I have used a bunch of scraps from my Bella Blvd drawer. It's a little busier than my usual layouts...but I'm kinda liking it! You can really see the hearts better in person, too. I probably should have inked the edges of them or outlined them to make them stand out a little better, but like I said, they really show up better in person!
These photos are of Miss Ada when she was almost 8 months old. It was summer break and Abby had a workshop that she had to go to for, so the boys and I got to keep sweet Ada. I was feeding her some baby food and I sneezed, and she started laughing. I would pretend to sneeze again, and she would laugh even harder. I don't know how long this went on, but I could not get enough of that little belly laugh!
Head on over to Sketch N Scrap's Facebook Event page to play along with us!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back shortly with another project to share with you!

Sketches In Thyme PL Style #69
Hello, scrappy friends! Today is our day - National Scrapbooking Day! There are so many fun things going on around the internet today, so let's get started.
Today I am featured over on the Sketches In Thyme PL Style blog with my take on sketch #69, courtesy of Majo. Here's a look at the sketch:
Here is the card that I have created based off of this sketch:
I've been trying to work on Ada's first-year album, so I thought I would use this sketch to make a card for it. At first, I thought I would use this as a journaling card, but I may add a photo to it instead - when I figure out which photos I am going to use with it!
I also created a couple of coordinating cards to go along with this card:
I used last month's sketch #67 for this card. I will add a photo to the left side and a little journaling to the right side. Here's a reminder of what that sketch looked like:
We are offering up a fun prize this month, so head on over to the Sketches In Thyme PL Style blog and check it out. We would love to see you playing along with us!

For this last card I have created another photo card.
Here are all three cards together. Now all I need to do is figure out which photos I am going to use, and I'll have a few more photos in Ada's first-year album!
I know I will add in a few more embellishments once I get the photos picked out, but I think these turned out pretty cute!

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #97
Hello! Happy Friday to you! I am so excited because this time next week we will officially be on summer break! I cannot wait!
Sketch N Scrap has a fun, new card sketch posted today, courtesy of Heather.
I have created a birthday card based off of this sketch. The papers on this card are some really old ones from My Mind's Eye Kaleidoscope collection (2006). One day I had the windows open and the breeze was blowing through the house. When I went back into my room these papers were on the floor. I decided to use put them to use instead of putting them back on my paper rack! A couple more (older) papers used up! I think since summer break is about to start that I will pull some older papers...I'm thinking maybe 25 to start...and make another stash pile to get used up! I think I need a change from the original pile!
Head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see the wonderful cards from the rest of the design team. You have until the end of the month to play along with our blog challenges for a chance at a fun prize!
Also, don't forget our 5th Birthday Bash is going on all month long over on our Facebook events page. You can check it out here.
I will be back tomorrow with our exclusive National Scrapbooking Day sketch! You won't want to miss it!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that you enjoy your day!

Try Stampin - Or Not - On Tuesday #320
Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday to you! I hope your week is off to a good start!
Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday has a new sketch posted today! This week's sketch is courtesy of Vicki with the optional theme of "May Days".
I went with a baby boy card this week. The square on this sketch was perfect for 2x2 squares that come in the Simple Stories Snap packs. Everything on this card is from the snap pack - the background is a 4x6 card cut down, the polka dot square is one of the 3x3 cards, and the embellishments are all from the embellishment pack. This card came together really quickly, and it is one of my favorites!
I know this is a sketch that I will be using again. Why don't you give it a try and join us? You have two weeks to play along, and you can enter on the Try Stampin' blog or on our Facebook page.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #210
Hello again! It has been busy around here today! I am back with my last post of the day.
Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has a new sketch posted today, and it is another fun one to work with. Michelle always creates the best sketches!

I have used Close To My Heart's "Sugar Rush" collection for this card. The donuts are from the compliments sticker sheet, and the sentiment is actually from a Jillibean Soup stamp set. The gems are from a set that I picked up from Michaels...I think! I've had them for a while and the packaging is long gone!
The full design team reveals will be up on the blog on Wednesday, along with the Top 3 for last week's card.
I hope you have some time to play along with us this week!

Use Your Stuff Challenge #262 - Star Wars
Hello, hello! I am back with my fourth project of the day!
Over at Use Your Stuff, Amy is challenging us with a "Star Wars/Galaxy" theme. You can create something with an actual Star Wars theme, or maybe just stars and/or planets. You could also use space travel and space ships, it's all up to you!
I went with stars on my card:
Be sure to stop by Use Your Stuff to see the awesome inspiration from the rest of the design team. I can't wait to see what you do for this challenge!

The background paper has stars all over it, and I die cut a big star, too. In fact, I die cut the star three times and layered them one on top of the other. The die is from Close To My Heart, and I have to say, these dies cut so nicely! I stamped the "You are awesome" with a roller stamp from Dear Lizzy.
I based this card off of sketch #285 from Freshly Made Sketches:

I have created a card for my project today.
I used Fancy Pants' 6x6 paper pad - "Happy Place" - for this card. All of the papers were scraps that I had leftover from previous projects. I am loving that I am getting some of my scraps used up! I tried a couple of different things on this card - I tried stamping "hello" and adding it to circle, and then played around with the placement of it, but I just didn't like it, so I stuck with just the circle.
I based this card off of this sketch from My Favorite Things:

Sketch N Scrap #128
Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my reveal for The Memory Nest, please scroll down or go here.
Today is the first day of May - can you believe that? - and that means a new sketch is up at Sketch N Scrap. Lisa has created a great multi-photo sketch to start us off this month:
For this layout I have used Elle's Studio - Live, Laugh, Love collection. I love every single piece of this collection, and I am sure you will be seeing more of it in the upcoming weeks!
So, I stepped out of my comfort zone on this layout and used patterned paper for my background, and that was hard for me! I am so used to using white cardstock, and this felt so busy to me, but I kept going, and I really like the way that it turned out. I am definitely going to try to use patterned paper backgrounds more!
I used a variety of stamps on this layout, all from different Elle's Studio stamp sets, with the exception of the "hello" stamp, it is from Simple Stories. I die cut a lot of different hearts to add to the layout, and mixed in a few of the puffy heart stickers. I love those puffy hearts, but they do have a smell to them!
I plan to journal in the little box at the top, but I need to get with Abby to find out the exact details since these photos are from her.
Stop by Sketch N Scrap to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. We have a ton of fun things planned this month for our 5th Birthday Bash, so be sure to stay tuned! I will keep you all posted here on my blog!

Make It Monday #87 With The Memory Nest
Hello, everyone! Happy Monday to you! I hope that you had a good weekend. It's going to be a busy day here on my blog, so let's get started.
Today is Make It Monday at The Memory Nest and Leslie has created a fun sketch for us to work with:
It's always fun when a sketch includes a project life style card. I have so many in my stash, and this is a great excuse to get one used. When I came across this one particular card, I thought it was perfect for these photos of Ada. We had gone to the dollar store and she found these sunglasses and hat and thought that she needed them. Of course, I couldn't say no - she looks too cute in them - and she put on quite a show for me once we got home!
All of the papers, with the exception of the background paper, are scraps from Crate Paper's - Cute Girl - collection. The project life style card and the embellishments are from Simple Stories - Girl - Snap collection.
I still need to add the date to the tab, and I think I will do a little bit of journaling around the edge of the white square.
Head on over to The Memory Nest to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. I hope you have a chance to play along, I would love to see what you do with this sketch!
