It's a brand new month and that means a brand new set of challenges over at Lasting Memories start today. I've got to tell you, the challenges for the month of May are some of my favorites and I can't wait to play along with every single one of them!
Our theme for this month is "All About The Photos" and our first challenge for you is to use 4 photos on your layout. No more than 4, no less than 4!
When I was looking for photos to use for this challenge, I came across these photos of Ada playing with my camera. Like my journaling says - for a while she was obsessed with my camera. If I took a picture of her she immediately wanted to see it - thank goodness for digital photos and that instant gratification! If she happened to see one of my cameras within her reach, she was grabbing it up. I'm not sure if she was trying to take a picture, or trying to do something with it so I couldn't take more photos of her! Whatever the case, it's a good thing I have more than one camera!
I used a sketch by the talented Cheryl Even. She plays along with our challenges sometimes, and not only is she an awesome scrapper, but she makes some pretty awesome sketches as well! Be sure to stop by and check out her blog - Even More Scrapping.
I loved that the photos were a little tilted on this sketch. I think it adds just a little bit of interest to the layout. I also finally remembered to get some felt and try cutting some hearts out of it with my dies and cuttlebug. What a great, inexpensive way to make a super cute embellishment!
Be sure to stop by Lasting Memories to see the layouts from the rest of the team. I hope that you are inspired to play along with us! I am offering up the prize for May, so if you link up with any of our challenges this month, you have the chance to win this:
