Sketch N Scrap #120

Hello everyone! Happy New Year to you! Today is going to be a very busy day on my blog, so let's get started!

We have a fabulous new sketch up over at Sketch N Scrap today. Lisa has created a fun sketch for the first sketch of 2017.

I have had these Bella Blvd papers in my stash for a year or two, and I have always wanted to use that reindeer paper, but I never really had anything that would go with it. Until this year, and I wouldn't have imagined that I would use it on a page about my grown son!

This year when we were decorating the Christmas tree, Matthew came across this hand print reindeer ornament that he had made in second grade. When he laid it on his hand, it was crazy to see just how much he has grown in 11 years! You know your kids are growing and getting bigger every day, but to really see the difference of his hand when he was seven, compared to his 18 year old hand, was just unreal, and it makes me happy that I have this reminder of his little seven year old hand!

Everything on this layout is from Bella Blvd's Christmas Cheer or Make It Merry collections, except the background paper and it is from Crate Paper. I added in a couple of enamel hearts from Doodlebug Designs, and an enamel dot from Simple Stories.

Be sure to stop by Sketch N Scrap to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. I hope you are able to start the year off on a scrappy note and join us in our monthly sketch challenges this year!

I will be back very soon with another project to share with you, so stay tuned, it's going to be busy around here today!
