Hello, everyone! Happy Monday and Happy November 1st! How can it possibly be November 1st?! My goodness, this year is flying by!
The new month means it's time for a new Lisa & Lori's Great Stash Bash kit. Before we get started I just have to say that I have a confession to make...this month I did not pay a bit of attention to our recipe and I am going to tell you why. I realized a couple of weeks ago that I have so many projects in progress - I'm talking mainly about my traveler's notebooks here - that I really want to make an effort to start finishing them instead of just picking them up once in a while to work on them. So, I sat down a couple of weeks ago - when I was working in my 2018 Favorite Photos of Ada TN - and made plans for what I want to get done this month - which is to finish this TN. I really think it is possible to get it completed this month. I also wrote down my design team assignments and other layouts/projects that I would like to work on and then I went to work pairing paper with photos. I may have gotten a little carried away - I have eight - that's right, eight! - page kits - and I know I could have just picked just two or three for my kit this month, but I need to hold myself accountable - and if I post them here then I will try to get as many of them used as I can. At least that's what I'm hoping!
Now that you know what my plan is - here is our (normally used) recipe:
Normally, our "recipe" is to pull 10 patterned papers, 5-7 scraps, 3-4 embellishments, and our focus item for November is alphas. If you are playing along with us - this is all you need to do - you don't have to go nearly as big as I did this month!
Since I have so many page kits this month, I did not take separate photos of the papers and the embellishments - I just took a photo of the whole page kit - along with the photos I plan to use for that kit. Let's take a look at what I've pulled for this month:
First up is Pebbles Happy Cake Day. The white text paper is the only full sheet of paper in this kit. All the other papers are just scraps. I pulled the die-cut pack for this kit and plan on using the 2x2 cut apart cards and the tags for anything else I might need. I have one 12x12 layout planned for this kit
This is an Amy Tangerine - Late Afternoon - page kit. I have a 12x12 layout and a traveler's notebook spread planned for this kit. I have two full sheets of paper a 3x4 cut apart sheet and the rest of the papers are scraps. I pulled the sticker sheet and what die cuts that I have left for this kit. I also included the 6x8 just in case I need any extra papers or if I need to die cut anything.
This kit is made up of Simple Stories' Freezin' Season collection. I have five full sheets of paper and the rest are scraps. I pulled the 12x12 sticker sheet and a 4x6 sticker sheet for embellishments. I figure if I need anything more I can fussy cut from the papers. I have two traveler's notebook spreads planned and possibly one 12x12 layout.
My next page kit is Bella Blvd's Popsicles and Pandas kit. I have 3 full sheets of paper and the rest of the papers are scraps. I plan on doing a bit of fussy cutting for embellishments and I added the epoxy stickers and a few of the plastic paper clips, too. I found these black and white word stickers from Pink Paislee's 5th and Monaco collection that I thought I might be able to use for a title. We will see. I have one traveler's notebook spread planned for this kit.
This kit is the biggest of all of the page kits so I did take a photo of the papers and then a photo of the embellishments. I should be able to use this kit on multiple traveler's notebook layouts. It is centered mostly around the Simple Stories Emoji Love 6x8 paper pad. I have one full sheet and several scraps from other Simple Stories collections that I thought worked well - and that was included in a past stash bash kit - so I added them into my kit instead of putting them back into my stash.
These are all of the embellishments that I pulled. I have nothing but the 6x8 paper pad from the Emoji Love collection so I pulled in a lot of stickers (from the past stash bash kit) and a couple of die cuts that I thought I might be able to use. I have two "for sure" traveler's notebook spreads planned and possibly four or five more with this "page" kit.
This kit is what is leftover from my September 2021 kit from The ScrapRoom and I would love to get it used this month! I have three full sheets of patterned paper, the tag paper, and a scrap. I included the foam stickers that were in the kit and I also put in the die-cut pack, the sticker sheet, and the sticker book from my stash. I also have the 12x12 paper pad in case I need more - or different - paper. I have two sets of photos that I am trying to decide between. I may see if I can get two layouts out of this kit without adding too much more to it.
I had to include a couple of Halloween page kits to get those Halloween photos scrapped while the urge to scrap them is strong! This page kit consists of Echo Park's Halloween Town collection. I have four full sheets, two cut apart papers and one scrap. I included the sticker sheet and I plan to use some of the cut apart pieces for embellishments, too. I have one 12x12 layout planned for this page kit.
This kit is what I have left of the Halloween Magic kit from The ScrapRoom kits from October. I have three full sheets of paper, scraps, a few die cuts, and the sticker sheet. I have one traveler's notebook spread planned with this kit.
Our focus item for November is alphas. Since I am working mainly in my TN this month and since I have quite a few smaller alphas from Studio Calico, I included all of them and a few larger alphas for my layouts. I am going to try really hard to use these alphas instead of cutting out my own!
There is quite a variety here and I should not have any trouble working a few of these in!
Now, here's a little more about my 2018 Favorite Photos of Ada TN - mostly for reference at the end of the month. I will have two double-page spreads for each month except December, which will have one double-page spread and one single-page spread. I have three spreads completed and all of the photos - and most of the papers - picked for the rest. I am hoping to have this TN completed by the end of the month.
Here is a look at my plans and all of the photos that I would like to get scrapped! Even if I get half of these photos scrapped, I will be a happy camper!
I mostly took this photo for reference at the end of the month. I cannot wait to see what I can get done!
Now, be sure to stop by Lisa's blog to see the fun kit that she has pulled together for this month. This is a just-for-fun challenge, but if you do play along and put together your own stash bash kit - add it to the linky below and we will be sure to check it out and cheer you on! Here are the rules:

These are amazing kits!! It looks like your photos pair so well with the kits you picked for them! You are so ambitious! I can't wait to see what you create!! Once you scrap all those photos you should make a good dent in your kits!!
