Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #266

Hello, everyone! I hope that if you were able to enjoy the long weekend that it wasn't too hard to get back at it today!

Today I am sharing my take on this week's sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here is a look at the sketch:

When I saw the circle element on this sketch I knew I would be pulling out this fun stamp from DRS Designs - Birthday Flower Circle. I also wanted to try using colors that I don't tend to use when I make cards, so today I went with blue.

I have a little box that holds some 6x6 papers from paper pads that are about used up, or that are loose from their pads. I found two blues in that box that matched and used them for my card today. Like I said, not my typical go-to color, but I'm happy with the results. I do think I may go back and add a little flower or two to the banner piece. It looks a little plain to me...

Tomorrow will be the full design team reveal and last week's Top 3, so be sure to stop by Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and check it out! We would love to see you playing along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

  1. Hi Lori,

Twas not Memorial weekend for us so it was just a normal old week - but glad you had a long one. Hope it was meaningful for you and special.

Your card is lovely. I like the simplicity of it, and the blues - and I don’t think you need any flowers by the sentiment - it looks just perfect and draws the eye to it! Hope you have a super creative week this week!
