Counterfeit Kit Challenge June Kit Reveal and Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Counterfeit Kit Challenge June Reveal and Blog Hop! Can you believe that it is already June 1st? This year is going by fast!

Counterfeit Kit Challenge is revealing the June inspiration kit today and it is a fun one to counterfeit! Lisa has chosen our inspiration kit for this month and it is the May Hip Kit Club Kit which you can find here. You can find all the details about this kit on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog.

Here is a look at the inspiration kit:

Here is my kit - Hello Summer:

I just love the colors in the inspiration kit - pinks, teal, blues, green, and a little bit of yellow - such a fun kit for summer - these colors are what inspired me the most. I was also drawn to the scalloped paper in the inspiration kit and the bird paper, too. In fact, once I started pulling papers I couldn't stop! At one time I had almost 50 papers pulled. I didn't want to go that big, so I started going back through until I got my kit down to a more manageable size.

Here is a look at the papers I have picked:

Since the scalloped paper in the inspiration kit was what I was most drawn to, I picked the multi-colored scalloped paper from Maggie Holmes' Bloom collection to base my kit on.

I have a few different shades of pink and one of the pinks that I pulled is from 2002! I decided it was time to try and pull in some older papers to get them used. I also had the two Pinkfresh Studios papers that were in the inspiration kit, so I added them to mine as well. I was surprised to find two different bird papers in my stash and I couldn't decide which I liked more, so I added them both. I don't know that I will get them both used, but here's hoping!

For my embellishments, I pulled several different die cuts in the colors of my kit. I also added the stamp set that is in one of the Hip Kit add-on kits and a die cut paper that I would like to try to use. I also added in the Echo Park Summer Dreams 6x6 paper pad, but it somehow got left out of the photo.

I went a little crazy with alphas this time around, but I wanted a good variety at my fingertips. I also have a couple of summer themed sticker sheets that I hope I can put to use.

I also added some of the Thicker word stickers to my kit.

Now, like I said before, I originally pulled a ton of papers for this kit. When I had gone back through and taken out some of the papers I found I still wanted to include some of them. I guess you can say I made my own add-on kit because I just couldn't part with these:

These papers are almost all from the Dear Lizzy Happy Place collection. I loved the sunglasses paper and there's a paper that reminded me of the pink and yellow color block paper in the inspiration kit. I also found a sheet of cactus paper and since there is a cactus die cut in the ephemera pack...I had to add that paper, too. I've also included some summer themed die cuts and the Echo Park Summer Fun 6x6 paper pad.

This add-on kit has a more playful feel to it.

And, I couldn't stop there! I had also pulled these papers from Pinkfresh Studios, so I made a page kit!

I am excited to work with this kit and can't wait to see what all I can create with these goodies! It should keep me busy in June and most of the summer, too!

Here is the complete list of the blog hop. Be sure to stop by each of the design team members blogs to see their kits:
