Fun Times - Lasting Memories #543 - 4x4 Photo

Hello, hello! Happy Sunday to you! I hope you are having a good weekend. Yesterday was a bit cloudy and chilly, but today is promising to be a beautiful spring day!

It's time for a new challenge at Lasting Memories today. The theme for April has been 'April Happenings' and all of the challenges have something to do with April and/or things that happen in April. Since April is the 4th month of the year, today's challenge is to use a 4x4 photo on your layout.

This is what I came up with:

I took these photos of Ada on Good Friday. Abby, Ada, Matthew, and I had all gone to Springfield to do a little shopping. Surprisingly, we came home with almost nothing! When we got back to Abby's house Ada wanted to show us the scooter that her Grandpa John had gotten for her and how well she could ride it. She looks so cute with her helmet on and she did quite well riding it!

For this layout, I used Echo Parks - Little Dreamer - Girl collection. This has got to be one of my all-time favorite collections! It is taking everything in me to not buy another set of the papers...we'll see how long I can stay strong! I just love the rainbows and all of the pretty colors in this collection.

Here are a couple of close-ups:

I actually did a little bit of stamping on my layout! I stamped some little hearts in each cluster. The title alphas are from Freckled Fawn and they are just the perfect size.

I based my layout on the following fun sketch from Sketch N Scrap. I have always liked this sketch but this is the first time I've used it. I love it and I know I will use it again.

Be sure to stop by Lasting Memories to see how the rest of the design team took on this challenge. I hope you have some time to play along with us this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day!

  1. I loved this when I saw it on Sketch 'n'scrap and again now on Lasting Memories. You've chosen exactly the right papers and setting out for this.
