Sketch N Scrap's Monthly Challenge #4

Hello, everyone! Happy Hump Day to you! We have made it to the middle of the week and are headed for the weekend! Wednesdays are always a fun day for me because that is when Abby and Ada come over after work/school for supper and visiting.

The 4th and final challenge has been posted today in Sketch N Scrap's Monthly Facebook Challenges group and here is the card that I created for it but you'll have to head on over to the group to see which sketch I used and what the optional twist is for this challenge:

I have come to the conclusion that I really need to buy a new Christmas collection this year - especially the 6x6 paper pads! I don't have a lot of Christmas 6x6 paper pads left (I've actually used the majority of them up) but what is left...well, I'm just not feeling inspired by them and when that happens I find that if I add something new into the mix it really gets the creative juices flowing. I don't think I've bought any new Christmas 6x6 paper since 2016 so it's time to get something new!

For this card, I have used Doodlebug Design's "Here Comes Santa" paper pad. That cute little Santa is a stamp from Close To My Heart (C1746 - Oh What Fun) and I stamped him in Candy Apple ink from Close To My Heart. I do not have the dies for this set but he is really easy to fussy cut.

I stayed true to this fabulous sketch only moving the sentiment to the top of the box. This is one of my favorite sketches and I know you will be seeing it again!

Head on over to Sketch N Scrap's Monthly Facebook Challenge group and join in the fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day!

Use Your Stuff #322 - Anything Goes (With a Sentiment or Title)

Hello and Happy Monday! It's the start of a new week and the start of a new challenge at Use Your Stuff!

This week our challenge is - Anything Goes - with a twist - you must include a sentiment or a title on your project.

Since I am looking for any excuse that I can to make Christmas cards right now,  I took advantage of the "Anything Goes" challenge and did just that.

I am using up my scraps from the Doodlebug - Here Comes Santa Claus - 6x6 paper pad. I based my card off of this sketch that Connie posted over in the 100 Pattern Paper Challenge Facebook group for this week:

This sketch was perfect to help me get some of those scraps used up. I even found the sentiment piece in my scraps.

Head on over to Use Your Stuff to see the projects from the rest of the design team. We hope you have some time to play along with us this week!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a great day!

Christmas Card #8 With Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #222

Hello, everyone! Happy Tuesday to you! I hope that your week is off to a good start. We are still having some really hot and dry weather around here. We haven't had to mow in almost two weeks and the grass is turning brown quickly. Even one of our maple trees is starting to lose its leaves...I do hope we get some rain before too much longer.

I am back today with another Christmas card to share with you using this week's sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Once again I have used Doodlebug Designs' - Here Comes Santa Claus - 6x6 paper pad for my card. The little Santa on this paper just makes me happy! The sentiment is one of my favorites and is from an old Studio G $1 bin stamp set.

I have made it to card #8 in my goal to make 15 cards in July. I'll be cutting it close, but I do believe that I will make my goal and have a good stash of Christmas cards ready for this holiday season.

We will have the full design team reveals tomorrow on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog, along with last week's Top 3, so be sure to stop by and check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day and keep cool!

Paper Play Sketches #47

Hello and Happy Wednesday to you! It's the middle of the week and it'll be the weekend before we know it!

The middle of the week means we have a new challenge up at Paper Play Sketches and this week we have a sketch challenge for you:

I am continuing to try to get a total of 15 Christmas cards made in July. This makes #5...I think I'd better get with it or I may just wind up being lucky to get 10 made! I will keep at it!

I love this basic sketch. Sometimes that is all that you need to get started creating! I used Doodlebug's - Here Comes Santa Claus - 6x6 paper pad for this card. The papers in this pad are so cute that you don't have to add a lot of extra things to it!

Head on over to Paper Play Sketches to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. I hope you find some time to play along with us this week, I would love to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day!

PDE Linky Party #150

Hello everyone! Happy Friday to you! I hope you are ready for the weekend. I know I am! Do you have any fun plans this weekend?

We have a new challenge up over at PDE Linky Party today, and since this is the second Friday of the month our challenge is:

Ch #150 - All Cards

I am still working on some Christmas cards, and once again I have used Doodlebug Designs' - Here Comes Santa Claus - 6x6 paper pad. The scalloped border is from the sticker sheet and the sentiment is from Close To My Heart - D1694 - Very Merry    . A pretty quick and easy card, but it's one of my favorites so far this year!

Be sure to check out the PDE Linky Party blog to see what the rest of the design team has created.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Tis The Season To Be Jolly

Hello everyone! I hope that y'all are having a good week so far!

I'm just popping in really quick to share a card with you. I think it's safe to say that Doodlebug Designs' "Here Comes Santa Claus" collection has been my favorite Christmas line to work with this year. The majority of my cards have been made using it. Here is another one!

The "Tis the season" is from the sticker sheet, and I have popped it up with just a bit of foam tape. The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from a Studio G $1 bin stamp set from several years ago. I am down to mostly just scraps - and not many of those - from the first paper pad that I got. It's a good thing I ordered a couple more of the paper pads since I know I want to use this in my Project Life album for my Christmas photos this year!

I am entering this card in Simply Create Too's - Anything Goes Design Team Call challenge.  Why don't you head on over and check them out!

Christmas Card Challenges Week #1

Hello everyone! I hope that you are enjoying your weekend! My weekend seems to be going way too fast! They always do at this time of the year - so many things to be trying to get done!

I am so excited to be sharing with you my first reveal for Christmas Card Challenges as a design team member! Things have changed just a little bit over at Christmas Card Challenges - our challenges are now biweekly instead of weekly, so you will have a little extra time to play along with each challenge.

Our first challenge is:

Candy canes/red and white...2 of my favorite Christmas time things! For my card I used Doodlebug Designs - Here Comes Santa Claus - 6x6 paper pad. The candy cane embellishment is one that I had made up ahead of time to add to a card or a scrapbook page, and the sentiment is cut out from the cut apart sheet. That made for a super quick Christmas card!

Just a couple of reminders - create a Christmas or holiday card, our challenges are now biweekly. and we always have an optional challenge to provide some inspiration.

Head on over to the Christmas Card Challenge blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. I do hope you play along with us!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #298

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Today is our last day of school this week before the big Thanksgiving day holiday. I am excited for some time off, some good food, and lots of time with family that we don't get to see very often!

We have a new sketch posted at Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday today. This fun sketch is courtesy of Donna, and the optional theme for this week is to make a gatefold card.

I used up some more of my favorite Doodlebug Designs' - Here Comes Santa Claus - collection for this card. I love the bright colors on this card, and that little Santa is just too cute!

Head on over to the Try Stampin' blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the team. You have two weeks to link up to this challenge, and you can enter either on the blog or on the Facebook page here.

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #86

Hello everyone! Good Sunday morning to you! I hope you are having a good weekend, and that you are getting ready for the Thanksgiving holiday this week!

Today I am sharing the last card sketch of the month over at Sketch N Scrap. Lisa has created another great sketch for us!

I love the tag on the sketch and since I just made this tag for my Friday post, I thought it would be the perfect tag for this sketch! Having the tag all ready made up made this card come together rather quickly! I used up some more of my Doodlebug Designs - Here Comes Santa Claus 6x6 paper pad. I love this collection - so much so that I "may" have ordered a couple more of the 6x6 paper pads. I am quickly running out of papers to work with, and I have so much more I want to use it for!

Don't forget - we have a Design Team Call going on right now! If you like to work with sketches, can commit to one card and one layout per month, and be a part of an amazing team, then why don't you apply! You have until November 30th to apply. and you can read all about it here.

Check out the Sketch N Scrap blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. You have until the 30th to link up for your chance at a fun prize from design team member, Brandy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope that you have a great day!

PDE Linky Party #147

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! It's finally (almost) the weekend, and after the week I have had, I am so ready for it!

We have a new challenge posted over at PDE Linky Party today. Since this is the third Friday of the month our challenge is:

CH #147 - All Tags!

I have created a Christmas tag using one of the embellishments I made for our "anything but a card" challenge last month at PDE Linky Party. Here is a picture of the embellishments I made for that challenge:

I added the Santa to my tag and the sentiment is from one of the cut apart sheets. I think they all go together to make a super cute tag! (Stay tuned - you may see this tag used on a card in a couple of day!)

Head on over to the PDE Linky Party blog to see the tags from the rest of the design team. I do hope that you play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Christmas Embellishments with PDE Linky Party Ch #144

Hello again! This is my second post of the day. To see my Sketch N Scrap - World Card Making Day card, please scroll down or go here.

Today is the 4th Friday of the month, and that means our new challenge at PDE Linky Party is:

Ch #144 - Anything But A Card

Since I've been working on quite a few Christmas cards, I thought I would use up my scraps and make a few embellishments for my Project Life album, December Daily (if I get around to making one), or my scrapbook layouts.

For these embellishments I used what was left of the cut apart sheet, and a few of the scraps from the candy cane card from my earlier blog post. I love how these turned out! I added an enamel hearts to a couple of these, and the others I will probably add one of the phrases from the cut apart sheet when I see what project they will be added to.

Head on over to the PDE Linky Party blog to see what projects the rest of the design team have made. Why don't you play along with us this week? We would love to see your creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a fantastic day!

Sketch N Scrap World Card Making Day Flashback Friday #4

Hello, hello! Happy Friday! Can you believe that it is the last Friday in October? It's crazy to think that in a few short weeks it will be Thanksgiving! It always seems like after Halloween time just really flies by until the holidays are over.

Anyway - we are still in October, and we are still celebrating World Card Making Day at Sketch N Scrap! Today we bring you our last special card sketch for the month.

I absolutely love this sketch! The diagonal line, the circle embellishment, the three pieces at the top...love it! I know I will be using this sketch again, and it will probably show up in my Project Life style album before long!

For my card I used Doodlebug Designs - Here Comes Santa Claus 6x6 paper pad. Even the candy cane circle and the sentiment was cut from the cut apart sheet. I love how easy that this card came together.

Head on over to Sketch N Scrap to see the cards from the rest of the design team. You have until October 31st to play along with any and all of our sketches!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back soon with another project to share with you, and it will "probably" include more of this Doodlebug collection!

Have a great day!
