PDE Linky Party Ch #153 - Anything Goes

Hello, hello! I am so happy that you are here! I hope you all have had a good week! I'm sad that our Christmas break is almost over, but it'll be nice to get back into a routine again next week.

It's Friday and that means we have a new challenge up at PDE Linky Party today! Since this is the fifth Friday of the month, our challenge is:

CH #153- Anything Goes

For my project I have created a Valentine's Day tag. I know I will be giving out a lot of Valentine's Day goodies, so it'll be nice to have a few of these tags made up ahead of time to go with them!

I have used Simple Stories - Life In Color - 6x6 paper pad. and I'm happy to say that I have used all scraps on this tag! This is a great way to get those small scraps used up!

The "Be Mine" sentiment is from an old Studio G $1 bin stamp set. I have several of these little sets that I've had for years and never inked up, so I'm hoping to get some use out of them this year!

I based this tag off of a free sketch from Scrapbook Generation's Create magazine from 2014. You can find the free download for this tag, and a single and double page layout here. I already have plans to turn this tag sketch into a card very soon!

Stop by PDE Linky Party to see the awesome projects for the rest of the team.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Paper Play Sketches #28

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all having a good week. Our Christmas break is gong by way too fast! I had big hopes of getting a lot done, but I'm quickly running out of time. It hasn't helped that I have had the worst cold ever since last Wednesday. I'm starting to feel a bit better, so here's hoping these last few days of vacation are productive!

Since today is Wednesday we have a fun new sketch for you over at Paper Play Sketches!

For my card I have used Simple Stories "Posh" 6x6 paper pad. I absolutely love this collection and I know I will be buying more of it if I can find it!

The quote is from one of the cut apart pages, and I thought it would be a great piece of encouragement for a special friend for the new year. I know I would like to be reminded of these simple things!

I decided to do some edge distressing on this card. One, I haven't done it in quite a while and I like the look, and two, my trimmer blade needs to be changed and had already "roughed" up the edges, so I just went with it and added in a little more to all the edges.

I added in a few gold gems to the focal panel and that was it! Super quick, super easy, super cute!

Stop by Paper Play Sketches to see the beautiful cards from the design team. We would love it if you played along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #192

Hello everyone! Good day after Christmas to you! I hope that y'all had a fantastic holiday weekend. We were able to spend time with my family on Christmas eve, and  with my husband's family on Christmas day. Any time we can spend time with those we love is wonderful!

It's been a few days since I have been on! I took a little break to get ready for the holidays and spend some time with my family.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has a brand new sketch posted for us today! Here is a look at the sketch, created by Michelle and digitized by Brandi:

It feels kind of strange making something other than a Christmas card! For this card I have used Dear Lizzy's "Documentary" 6x6 paper pad. I love the little typewriters that are all over the background paper, and I wish you could see more of them, but at least they are peeking out here and there!

The typewriter stamp is from Close To My Heart's Share The Love Constant Campaign stamp set (CC1060), and stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The "hello" is from Hero Arts. I stamped it and then punched out each letter with my circle punch. The hearts are punched from the confetti hearts punch by Martha Stewart.

Head on over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to see the sketch and read the rules. The full design team reveal will be on Wednesday, along with the last week's Top 3. I do hope you get a chance to play along with us - we love to see your creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a beautiful day!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #302

Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Sketch N Scrap reveal please scroll down or go here.

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On  Tuesday has a new card sketch posted today. This great sketch is courtesy of LeAnne, and our optional theme this week is "snowflakes".

For this card I used up some of my scraps from Echo Park's "I Love Winter" collection. I pulled out an old EK Success punch for the snowflakes and added in just a little bit of bling to the center of each one. The "Let It Snow" sentiment is from a Studio G $1 bin stamp set.

Head on over to the Try Stampin' blog to see the lovely cards from the rest of the design team. You have 2 weeks to play along and you can enter either on the blog or on our Facebook page here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #88

Hello everyone! Good Tuesday morning to you! We are getting ever closer to Christmas! My son still has a half day of school tomorrow, but then we are free about a week and a half!

We have the last card sketch of the year posted over on the Sketch N Scrap blog today. This sketch is courtesy of Heather.

Since I wanted to use this tree stamp from Paper Smooches again, I rotated the sketch a turn so it would fit a little better on my card. Once again, I am going with a flat card to make for easier mailing! I stamped a sentiment on the inside, which I forgot to photograph. If I can remember I will get it on here a little later.

I used papers from The Paper Studio's "A Very Merry Christmas" 6x6 paper pad. I am really going to be sad when I use up all of the papers in this pad, and I am getting really close!

Be sure to check out the Sketch N Scrap blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the team. You have until December 31st to play along with all of our sketches for a chance at a great prize courtesy of Alicia!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Christmas Card Challenges - Challenges #2

Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Lasting Memories reveal, please scroll down or go here.

We have a new challenge for you over on the Christmas Card Challenges blog today. Our challenges are biweekly now, and our only requirement is that you make a Christmas card. We do have an optional challenge in case you need a little boost to get your card made.

This week's optional challenge is a photo challenge. Use these little carolers to inspire you. It can be the carolers themselves, the colors, music...just use something from this photo to inspire you.

For my card I used some Christmas music paper, and the music notes and title of a Christmas carol. This was a pretty quick and easy card, and I love the added little gold gems at the bottom.

Be sure to stop by Christmas Card Challenges to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. I hope you have a chance to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Lasting Memories #324 - Little Baby Birdie

Hello, hello! I hope that you are all having a good weekend! It is COLD here today. I think our high is going to be 16 degrees. I know some of you in the northern US and beyond are much colder, but this is our coldest day so far this season. Brrr!

Sunday means we have a brand new challenge posted for you over on the Lasting Memories blog today. This is our final challenge of the year and it will run for the next 2 weeks. Then we will be back on Sunday, January 1st to start off the new year with a new theme and a new set of challenges.

December's theme has been "Best of 2016" and this week's challenge is a little different. Our challenge is Anything Goes, but you must use photos from 2016.

For my layout I used photos from May of this year. A little baby robin had fallen out of its nest, and Scott had rescued it and put it back in. We couldn't wait for Ada to come down and see it. We thought she would think it was pretty cute, but she was not impressed!

I was lucky enough to get a sweet gift in the mail from my good friend, Lisa, and in that gift was Crate Paper's "Cute Girl" 6x6 paper pad. I could not wait to get in and use some of it, and when I came across these photos, I knew they would go perfectly together. All of the papers are from the 6x6 paper pad, with the exception of the pink graph paper. I believe it is from American Crafts, but I am not certain. And I just now realized that I used the same background paper for this layout, that I used on last week's layout! I think I must like it!

I made my own title piece on this by typing up the title on a piece of the 6x6 paper and die cutting it into a circle. I then matted that onto a pinked circle, and then on another circle. I added some messy thread behind the title piece, and added in a puffy bird sticker and a couple of puffy hearts.

I used this month's sketch from My Creative Sketches. They have a great prize up for grabs, so check them out and play along!

Head on over to Lasting Memories to see the layouts from the rest of the design team. We would love it if you played along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be back soon with another project to share with you!

Sketches In Thyme Sketch #254

Hello everyone! Good Saturday morning to you! I hope all is well where you are. We had a bit of a scary situation yesterday when we had freezing drizzle on our way to school. The roads were very slick with a layer of black ice. We left at 7:20 and didn't get back home until after 9:00, and we never even made it to the school! The interstate was closed in both directions, and it was just a mess. Now today we are looking at the same situation - only now we are going to have dangerously cold temperatures as well. Sounds like a good day to stay in and scrap, or wrap Christmas presents!

Today is my day to be featured over on the Sketches In Thyme blog. This week we are working with a sketch courtesy of Shawn.

For this layout of Ada on her 3rd birthday, I have used Pebbles' Birthday Wishes collection. I still need to add a bit of journaling, but I need to figure out just exactly what I want to say in that space!

I just love the look on Ada's face in these photos. The anticipation of blowing out those candles is almost too much! She is such a sweetheart, and I am so happy that I get to spend as much time with her as I do.

If you're looking for some scrappy inspiration, then be sure to check out the Sketches In Thyme blog every single day of the week! There is always a beautiful layout or two to be seen! We have a great prize up for grabs, so I hope you play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous day!

PDE Linky Party Ch #151 - All Tags

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! I can't believe that this is the last weekend before Christmas! I still have a lot to do, so this next week is sure to be a busy one!

We've got a new challenge for you this week at PDE Linky Party! This is the third Friday of the month, so our challenge is:

Ch #151 - All Tags

Of course I had to make another Christmas tag! I have really enjoyed making Christmas projects this year. Usually I get tired of making them before I am even close to being done, but this year I have really enjoyed it.

I used a sketch from Scrapbook Generation for this tag. Debbie, from Scrapbook Generations Scrap Squad Facebook Group, had posted a link to it on their Facebook page, and I really liked it. It was super easy, super quick, and a great way to use up some of those scraps from cards that I have made.

I finished it off with a piece of tinsel trim instead of ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Head on over to the PDE Linky Party blog to see the lovely tags from the rest of the design team. We do hope you play along!

Have a great day!

Christmas Cards All Year Round December Mid Month Inspiration

Hello everyone! Can you believe it is already the middle of December? Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye!

Christmas Cards All Year Round  has their mid month reveal with the Christmas Belles up on the blog today. The challenge for December is "Anything Christmas/Holiday".

For this card I used The Paper Studio's - Christmas Basic's - 6x6 paper pad. I wanted it all to stand out a bit more, so I matted all of the pieces on black cardstock. The Santa is from an Inkadinkado stamp set and the "be merry" sentiment is from Studio G. A pretty quick and easy card to do!

Be sure to stop by Christmas Cards All Year Round to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the Christmas Belles. We have a couple of prizes up for grabs, so be sure to check it out and play along!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Paper Play Sketches #26

Hello, hello! Here we are at the middle of the week already! Christmas is getting closer all the time, and I still have a lot to do!

Wednesday means there is a new sketch posted at Paper Play Sketches!

For my card I once again used Echo Park's - I Love Winter - 6x6 paper pad, and the penguin piece is from the ephemera pack. I added a pinked circle underneath the penguin to help it stand out a little better from the background. I also added just a bit of foam tape to give it a little bit of dimension.

The "Let It Snow" sentiment is from another old Studio G $1 bin stamp set. I have had these little stamp sets in my stash for years, and this is the first time I have inked this one up!

I had picked up a package of these itty bitty snowflake buttons and they were the perfect little embellishment for this card!

Head on over to Paper Play Sketches to see the lovely cards from the rest of the design team. I know this is a busy time of year, but I do hope you get a chance to play along!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #190

Hello everyone! Good Tuesday morning to you! I hope you are having a good week so far.

This week's sketch has been posted over on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog, and I am here to share my take on it with you.

Here is the sketch:

I used Echo Park's - I Love Winter - 6x6 paper pad for this card. I always love Echo Park's winter themed collections. Their colors/patterns are some of my favorites.

The snowflakes were cut using My Favorite Things - Let It Snowflake - dies. I first tried laying the snowflakes directly on the background paper, but they seemed to get lost amongst the swirls. I layered them on top of a dark blue circle, and I like the much better.

The sentiment is from an old Studio G $1 bin stamp set. I added in a bit of sparkle with some bling, but it looks more like little silver balls in the photo!

The full design team reveal will be up on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog tomorrow, along with last week's Top 3. Be sure to stop by and see the beautiful cards from the rest of the team.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Stick It Down December Card Sketch

It is a busy day here on my blog! This is my third post of the day. For my reveal for The Memory Nest, please go here. For my Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style reveal, please go here.

Today is the full design team reveal for the card team over at Stick It Down. Laura has created another great sketch for us this month. Once again it is a sketch with lots of possibilities.

This is one of my most favorite cards that I have made this year! There's just something about it that I love. The tree stamp is from a Paper Smooches stamp set that I have had for ages. I stamped it on a piece of green dot paper and cut them out. I added on a cardstock heart with a little bit of bling. I also had a silver glitter star on my desk from another project, so I added that onto one of the trees.

The sentiment is printed on a piece of vellum and stapled onto the card front. I also embossed the background with my swiss dot embossing folder.

Nothing fancy about this card, but I really like it.

Head on over to Stick It Down to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team. I hope to see you playing along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with one more project to share with you!

Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style Sketch #54

Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my reveal for The Memory Nest, you can keep scrolling down or go here.

Today is my day to be featured over on the Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style blog. We are working with another great sketch from Cherie Averill this week.

I was hoping to have some of my December Daily pages done to show you, but for some reason I cannot log into my photo account where I normally get my photos printed, and I haven't had time to get them elsewhere, so I will show you some of the cards I have made for my album so far.

I do know that my spreads are going to be photo heavy, so chances are these cards won't wind up in the same spread, but it gives you and idea of what will be in my album.

I am mostly using a couple of 6x6 paper pads from The Paper Studio for this album, with a few other papers from my stash that match, mixed in.

I like to keep the majority of my filler cards pretty clean and simple, that way if I want to add to them I still have room to do so.

I do plan on sharing some of my album once I have my photos - probably in a catch up post here on my blog. Until then I will keep on making cards to have for when I am ready!

Be sure to check out the Sketches In Thyme Project Life Style blog often! You can find inspiration there every single day! We have a super fun prize up for grabs this month, so check it out and play along wit us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with another project to share with you!

Make It Monday #78 At The Memory Nest

Hello everyone! Good Monday morning it you! That weekend seemed to go way too fast! But then again, don't they all?! I have a busy day here on the blog, so let's get started!

Today is Make It Monday over at The Memory Nest, and we have another great sketch for you to work with! Here is sketch #78, courtesy of Leslie.

I just love the angles on this sketch! They add just enough interest to make it fun! My only problem was picking out the papers! At first I didn't think I was going to like this - it took a lot of laying them out, rearranging, walking away for a while, but in the end I really like how this layout turned out.

I used Bella Blvd's Christmas Cheer and Make It Merry collections for my background. Since the background was a little on the busy side for me, I kept the embellishing to a minimum.

These photos are of  Ada from Christmas time last year. It was the first year that she really got to help with decorating the tree, and she loved every minute of it!

Head on over to The Memory Nest to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the team. We hope to see you playing along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with my next project to share with you!

Lasting Memories #323 - Use Only 4 Photos

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday to you! I hope that you have had a good weekend so far. With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, they seem to go faster and faster!

Lasting Memories has a new challenge for you today. For December we are doing a "Best of 2016" theme and bringing back some of our favorite challenges. This week's challenge is from our "All About The Photos" theme from May, and it is:

LM #323 - Use Only 4 photos

You can only use 4 photos on your layout - no more, no less.

It's been cloudy and dreary the last couple of days, so these aren't the best photos, but they are the best that I can get right now.

This is a layout of Miss Ada from Christmas eve, 2014. Abby was so excited to show us that Ada had learned how to feed herself with a spoon! She was quite good at it for just being barely a year old!

For this layout I did something I don't normally do. I used patterned paper for my background! That doesn't happen very often for me! It's a subtle pattern, but a patterned paper nonetheless! All of the papers, with the exception of the background sheets, came out of my 100 patterned paper challenge stack. I am nowhere near where I wanted to be with that stack - I wanted it to be mostly gone!- but I will continue to work on it!

I used a sketch from Scrapbook Generation's "Sketches For Scrapbooking Volume 7". I don't do a lot of double page spreads anymore, but their sketch books are awesome and take a lot of the guess work out of the process.

I used Crate Paper's Poolside "Swim Lessons" for the background, the blue dot paper is from Echo Park's Sunshine "Sunshine Words". and the chevron piece, I believe, is from Colorbok. The title card is a 3x4 cut apart card from Echo Park's Sweet Girl " Borders and Strips", and the only other thing I added were some puffy hearts from Pebbles, and a couple of enamel dots from The Paper Studio.

I hope in the busyness of the season that you get a few minutes to get creative and play along with us!

Head on over to the  Lasting Memories blog to see the awesome layouts from the rest of the team.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a nice and relaxing Sunday!

PDE Linky Party #150

Hello everyone! Happy Friday to you! I hope you are ready for the weekend. I know I am! Do you have any fun plans this weekend?

We have a new challenge up over at PDE Linky Party today, and since this is the second Friday of the month our challenge is:

Ch #150 - All Cards

I am still working on some Christmas cards, and once again I have used Doodlebug Designs' - Here Comes Santa Claus - 6x6 paper pad. The scalloped border is from the sticker sheet and the sentiment is from Close To My Heart - D1694 - Very Merry    . A pretty quick and easy card, but it's one of my favorites so far this year!

Be sure to check out the PDE Linky Party blog to see what the rest of the design team has created.

Paper Play Sketches #25

Hello, hello! We have already made it to the middle of the week! Today is my oldest son's last day of classes for this first semester of college! He has finals Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week, and then he is done for a month! That first semester went really fast!

We have a new sketch today at Paper Play Sketches. Here it is, courtesy of Janis:

I went with another Christmas card for this one. This is such a great sketch with so many possibilities and I am sure I will be using it again!

For this card I used Echo Park's - I Love Christmas - 6x6 paper pad, and the sentiment is from Close To My Heart - B1381 Holiday Cheer.  I stamped it in Desert Sand to match the Kraft background, and the tan ornaments.  I felt like it needed a little more, so I added in three pieces of gold bling.

Head on over to Paper Play Sketches and see the gorgeous cards from the rest of the design team. I do hope you play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a fantastic day!

Tis The Season To Be Jolly

Hello everyone! I hope that y'all are having a good week so far!

I'm just popping in really quick to share a card with you. I think it's safe to say that Doodlebug Designs' "Here Comes Santa Claus" collection has been my favorite Christmas line to work with this year. The majority of my cards have been made using it. Here is another one!

The "Tis the season" is from the sticker sheet, and I have popped it up with just a bit of foam tape. The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from a Studio G $1 bin stamp set from several years ago. I am down to mostly just scraps - and not many of those - from the first paper pad that I got. It's a good thing I ordered a couple more of the paper pads since I know I want to use this in my Project Life album for my Christmas photos this year!

I am entering this card in Simply Create Too's - Anything Goes Design Team Call challenge.  Why don't you head on over and check them out!

Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #300

Hello everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start! I keep wishing time would slow down just a bit during this holiday season. I have so much I want to do and not enough hours in the day to do it!

If you find yourself with a little extra time, then we have a new sketch posted over on the Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday blog today! LeAnne has created another great sketch for us to work with, and the theme for this week is "Sweet and Soulful".

I have a box that holds a lot of my Christmas paper and supplies in it, and at the bottom of it I came across the "Merry Christmas" paper and this little Santa sticker. I just love this little Santa - that's probably the reason I haven't used him yet! Sometimes it takes a while for me to be ready to "let go" of some of my stuff! Anyway - his little head is popped up and he is just so cute!

Head on over to the Try Stampin' blog to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the team. You have 2 weeks to play along with this challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

The Memory Nest - Make It Monday #77

Hello, hello! Happy Monday to you! The weather around here is getting colder and it's really starting to feel like Christmas is just around the corner. There "may" even be the mention of snow flurries in the forecast. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm ready to see some snow!

Today is Make It Monday over at The Memory Nest, and Leslie has created a great sketch for us to work with!

While looking through Ada's layouts, I noticed that I don't have many - if any - of just her and her Daddy. I've had this photo that Abby took out on my desk for quite a while and decided now is a good time to get it scrapped!

The papers that I used for this layout were all scraps from the box that holds my supplies for her first year album, but I know the grey background and the pink paper is from American Crafts, and the yellow is a piece of paper that I have seriously had in my stash since the early 2000's! I didn't need much journaling for this layout, so I let the filler card do that work for me. If I am not mistaken it is from a Simple Stories collection...I think...I could be wrong! I know the "Cutest Baby Ever" embellishment was cut out of one of the Simple Stories cut apart cards and matted with the same pink paper to match the layout better. The title is made from rub-ons that I found in Target's dollar spot back in the fall. I wasn't sure how they would work with just being a dollar, but they work like a dream!

Be sure to stop by The Memory Nest to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. I hope you find some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

Sketch N Scrap's Rocking Holiday Crop

Hello everyone! This is my second post of the day, so if you are looking for my Christmas Card Challenges reveal, please scroll down or go here.

Sketch N Scrap's Rocking Holiday Crop is in full swing over on our Facebook Events page. If you would like to play along with us, head on over to the page - here - and check out the challenges. You have until December 11th to play along.

Lisa posted the first challenge to make two Christmas cards using any card sketch from Sketch N Scrap on Thursday, and this is what I came up with.

Here's a look at each individual card:

For this card I used Sketch N Scrap's Sketch # 28 from June 20,2014. I used Doodlebug Designs' - Here Comes Santa Claus - 6x6 paper pad, and the "HO! Ho! Ho!" sentiment is an old Studio G $1 bin stamp. Here is a look at the sketch that I used:

For this card I used Sketch N Scrap's sketch #22 from Sketch N Scrap March 20,2014. I used dollar store decorative tape for the strips on this card. I love these tapes and have tried to make a point to use them this year, and they really make for a quick and easy card. The sentiment on this card is from Hero Arts. Here is a look at the sketch:

I would also like to enter these cards in Perfectly Created Chaos' Challenge #7 - "Christmas Anything Goes".

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to come join the fun at Sketch N Scrap's Rocking Holiday Crop! We would love to see you playing along!
