Happy Birthday - Scrap Our Stash Pick Your Side Challenge

h

Hello, everyone! Happy Saturday to you! Do you have any big plans for the weekend? I still have not started wrapping my presents...guess that is my plan for the weekend!

Today I am sharing my take on this month's Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash. Along with choosing one side of the sketch, we were also to use 8 or more different types of scrapbook items on our layout. Here's a look at the sketch:

I chose the left side of the sketch for my layout:

For my 8 items, I have used - 4 different patterned papers, stickers, die cuts, a stamp, and enamel dots.

I just loved this photo of Scott and Ada on his birthday last year. I had gone into the other room to grab something and Abby snapped this for me while they were waiting. And then the photo of Shane sneaking in to help blow out the candles at the last minute is priceless! He's good at sneaking in at the last second!

I have used a mix of Echo Park and Carta Bella papers for this layout. I think they all work together well. Here are a couple of close-ups:

I realized after I had taken the photos that I forgot to add the dot to the "i" and have made sure to add it since then. A lot of journaling was not needed here, but I do think I will go back and add in the names and how Shane snuck in there at the last second to blow out the candles!

Head on over to Scrap Our Stash to see how the rest of the design team interpreted this challenge. I do hope you are able to find some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a great day!
