Thank You with Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday #342

Hello, everyone! Good Tuesday morning to you! I hope that your week is going good so far!

We have a new sketch posted at Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday today, courtesy of Kaylin:

I kind of struggled with this sketch...maybe if I had stripped it down and not tried to add so many different papers I would have liked it better. It feels busy to me. Not only that but have you ever made a card and liked it in person, then when you see a photo of it you don't like it as much? That's kind of how I am with this card. To look at in person I like it, in the photo - not as much...I have no idea what the difference is!

I have used Echo Park's - The Story of Our Family - 6x6 paper pad for this card. It is one of my favorites - I love the colors in this collection! The sentiment is from a Hero Arts stamp set (CL582) - another great set with lots of fun sentiments.

Head on over to Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday to see the cards from the rest of the design team. I hope you find some time to play along with our sketch - I would love to see your take on it! You have 2 weeks to enter and you can enter on the blog or on our Facebook page here.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

  1. Lori, I agree with you about the sketch. There's too much going on, but you toned it down with the woodgrain paper.

If you really don't like it, deconstruct it. Maybe there are parts that you can use on other projects, then throw away what's left. It's only paper after all!
