Counterfeit Kit Challenge November Reveal and Blog Hop

Hello, everyone! Happy November 1st! I cannot believe that it is already November! The holidays are right around the corner.

Welcome to the November Counterfeit Kit Challenge reveal and blog hop! This is our last regular counterfeiting month of 2018. We will be doing something special for you in December, so stay tuned.

Here is the November inspiration kit - Citrus Twist Kit's October 2018 kit - Little Things

The inspiration kit is filled with blues, pinks, and yellows, floral prints, geometric prints, etc., and lots of fun embellishments.

Here is my kit:

I was inspired mostly by the colors and the floral prints in the inspiration kit. Here is a look at the papers for my kit:

I kind of went two ways with my papers and picked some that resembled the ones in the inspiration kit and then I also pulled some older Maggie Holmes papers that I have had for a while. I love Maggie Holmes papers but find that I don't actually use them very often, so I am hoping that since I have included a few in my kit that I will get them used.

Here is a closer look at the first set of papers:

When I saw the pink and blue vines on the navy paper it reminded of this Dear Lizzy's - Lovely Day - paper. The floral next to it and the polka dot on the other side is also from Lovely Day. There are also papers from Shimelle, Echo Park, We R Memory Keepers, Fancy Pants, and a few papers that I have had for way too long!

Here are the Maggie Holmes papers - and one old My Mind's Eye paper that matched:

I also added in a few neutrals to serve as backgrounds. Sometimes I get in a rut only using cardstock and I am hoping with having these in my kit that I will get out of that rut.

Here is a look at my embellishments. I have included lots of stickers, die cuts, wood veneer, and stamps in my kit:

Here are the wood pieces:

Back before Gossamer Blue went out of business, I bought a few of their wood veneer grab bags. I always forget about them, so I pulled quite a few for my kit this month.

I used to subscribe to the Citrus Twist Project Life kit but found that I wasn't using them, so I stopped until I can get myself into the habit of doing so. I pulled a die cut pack from one of the kits and a couple of Pinkfresh die cut packs. Not everything will go with my kit but I am hoping to use at least some of them.

I also pulled some Maggie Holmes sticker sheets and her big sticker book, and some blue alphas, which were part of an older Citrus Twist kit. I also added some puffy stickers from a CT kit and the Pinkfresh puffy stickers that I have had for way too long. Like the die cuts, not everything will match my kit but a good part of them will.

Since I had my older Citrus Twist kits out, I went ahead and kept out some of their stamp sets that I have yet to use. I am sure I can put a few of them to use this month!

That is my kit! A good mixture of things that I know I will get used and things that I hope to challenge myself to use. I am excited to get to work with my kit and I think I'll be able to get a variety of pages made with it.

Here is the complete blog hop list. Hop on over and check out the kits from the rest of the design team. Be sure to stop by our Guest Designer Alex's blog, too. She always puts together fantastic kits! We would love to see your kits, too!

  2. There's a whole lot to love in this kit. I can clearly see the inspiration but like the direction you took and the decisions you made. I also included some Crate papers which seemed like the original and I agree with Julene that I'm jealous of some of your embellies! It looks like a big kit and I know you will be making some wonderful layouts with the supplies. You seem relaxed about adding some bits in that won't necessarily all be used up and this is a great attitude. In the kit means more likely to be used and that's what we are all about, isn't it?!? Great kit Lori!

  4. Wow I LOVE what you did with this! The rich colours definitely give it a more autumnal vibe if that's what you want to do. I also love Maggie Holmes. You have reminded me I need to track down my copy of that sticker book! Not that my kit needs any encouragement, buuuut

  5. Beautiful kit, love how you added in the neutrals. I also tend to mat on cardstock so I'm looking forward to see how this works out.
