TN Time With Lisa & Lori - November Challenge

Hello, hello! Happy  Friday to you! Do you have plans for your weekend? I think we are planning on putting our tree up on Sunday. Not as early as last year but still earlier than all the years prior! Shane has started talking constantly about putting the tree up - and the lights up - and what he wants for Christmas, so I think it is time to deck the halls and bring on the jolly!

It is also time for the November edition of TN Time With Lisa & Lori. Before we get to that - I want to say a big thank you to Aimselee for playing along with us in October! It is always fun to see someone playing along! Now, let's get on with the challenge. 

Here is how it works - this is a just-for-fun monthly challenge that starts on the 10th of each month and ends on the 9th of the following month at midnight CST. If you complete my random challenge for the month - link your TN, bullet journal, or planner spread below. Here is my challenge for November:

The color for November is kraft and I want to see a cut apart/project life card on your spread.

This is what I came up with:

I created a Halloween spread documenting our little family party this year. I used this page kit that I had put together for my November Stash Bash kit:

A few more scraps have been used, another sheet was cut into, and I was able to use a couple of stickers. I still have lots of Halloween photos to scrap - just if I have time to get to them before the end of the month!

I have quite a bit of journaling that I would like to get down and I had one more photo that I wanted to use that goes along with the journaling, so I used my cut apart card as I flip out so I could get everything I wanted on this spread:

I am still trying to condense all that I want to say on that one 3x4 card. I attached it with a removable adhesive for the time being because I may end up having to type it all up. The gist of it is that since our big family Halloween party back in 2019 when almost my entire extended family dressed up - Shane has been in love with Halloween. He now loves it almost as much as he does Christmas! He dressed up as a witch - or wizard - that year and that is what he wants to be every year. He has so much fun when we all dress up!

He used to be so good about taking pictures but here lately, not so much. He did not want to be in any of the group photos so I had to be sneaky when I took any of him. In the photo above, he was trying to stop me from getting a picture of the other kids by blocking my view - but I really love how this turned out! It looks more like he photobombed them!

I added a couple of jack-o-lantern stickers and word phrase stickers below the cut apart card, I feel like it needs a little something added to the top of the card so I think I will add a tab and maybe add "open here" to it. 

Here is a look at the right side of the spread:

I die cut my title from black cardstock and added a few more stickers from the sticker sheet and a ghost that I stamped and fussy cut. I found a strip of these enamel stars on my desk and I picked the ones that matched and I added them to my spread.

I pulled out one of my life-crafted albums from Citrus Twist and I am working directly in it. I think that I will definitely be finishing out 2021 in these albums and working in them in 2022, as well.

TN Time With Lisa & Lori June Challenge

 Hello, everyone! Happy Sunday to you and thank you so much for visiting my blog today! I do hope that you are having a good weekend. Ours has been very full with lots of family time and fun. Today is looking to be a bit quieter - which is just what we need to finish off the weekend and get ready for the week ahead.

It is time for the June TN Time With Lisa & Lori Challenge. Here is how it works - this is a just-for-fun monthly challenge that starts on the 10th of each month and ends on the 9th of the following month at midnight CST. Now, on to the challenge.

Here is my June challenge:

For June, my challenge is to use the color yellow on your spread - how much or how little is up to you - and to add a circle to your spread. This could be a punched/die cut circle, circle chipboard, a sticker, enamel dots, etc.

Let me just start this by saying that the photo I chose to use for my spread was not the best to use once I edited the photo of my spread! Abby took this photo of Ada last summer on a bright sunny day. The original looks a little washed out at the top of the photo and no matter how much I try to edit it - I just can't get it right. It's such a good photo of Ada and in person, it really isn't as bad as what it looks like in the photo above. Here's a look at just the photo:

Not nearly as bad as the layout shows. Maybe one day I'll learn how to edit better!

Now, about the spread. I used papers from a couple of different Echo Park collections - Echo Park's #selfie collection, and Teen Spirit Girl collection. I thought the bokeh background paper looked like Ada's shirt and I tried to cut my paper where there was at least a little bit of yellow showing. To get a little more yellow on my spread, I matted my photo and journaling box with yellow,  I used my yellow acetate alphas from Elle's Studio, a chipboard sun, and puffy stickers and hearts.

The journaling reads - Abby and Shawn took Ada to Nathaniel Greene park for a fun carefree day before school started. With everything still being shut down due to the pandemic - it was somewhere they could go and still social distance. I love this photo of Ada. She looks so happy and ready to conquer the world.

I punched a couple of circles from one of the papers to create a few more circle embellishments, and I love these acetate alphas from Elle's Studio!

All of the embellishments came from Elle's Studio. They matched so well with the Echo Park papers.

TN Time With Lisa & Lori - March 2021 Challenge

 Hello, everyone! Happy Wednesday! It's the middle of the week and the weekend is in sight and I am looking forward to it! 

It is time for the March edition of TN Time With Lisa & Lori today. This is a just-for-fun monthly challenge that starts on the 10th of each month and ends on the 9th of the following month at midnight CST. This is the TN spread that I created - using both my challenge and Lisa's sketch:

 

I am finally starting my 52 Favorites TN for 2021! My 2019 and 2020 are still nowhere near done, but that's okay. I will get caught up one of these days. I am going with a little bigger TN for my 52 Favorites for this year and using the insert that is 5 inches by 8.25 inches on as opposed to the 4.25 by 8.25 inches. It's only about three-quarters of an inch bigger on each side, but that makes quite a bit of difference! 

This photo is of Miss Ada just last Wednesday when I picked her up from school for her early out day. She spent the afternoon drawing me the cutest farm animals and vegetables for me to put up in the kitchen. I just need to figure out how I am going to do that! 

I used Echo Park's Little Dreamer - Girl collection for this spread. I am really lovin' both the girl and boy versions of this collection. It is taking everything in me to not order a second set of papers from each of them! 

For my part of the challenge - to use the color green and to add a tag - I matted the photo in green paper and then added in a few green stickers. I also added a tag from one of the die-cut packs to satisfy the tag portion of my challenge.

I just think that billy goat that Ada drew for me is just the cutest!

mini alpha cuts 

I once again used my favorite little mini alpha cuts stamp and die from The Stamp Market. This size is perfect for my TN spreads and for my Project Life albums, and I just realized when I grabbed the links for the set that I have that it looks like they have a set that is a little bit bigger than mine. They look to be about the size of the old October Afternoon tile alphas...I may have to look into getting those, too!

After I took the photos I went back and added my date stamp right below the journaling.

TN Time With Lisa & Lori April 2020

Hello, everyone! Happy Friday to you! The weather has turned a bit cooler for a few days. I was sure liking those 80 degree days, but it is a little early to be that hot around here. 

It is time for the April 2020 TN Time With Lisa & Lori Challenge today! Here is my challenge for April:

(April 10th - May 9th)

Just use your favorite color combo AND your favorite embellishment on your TN, Bullet Journal, or Planner Spread.

For my favorite color combo, I have used an oldie but a goodie - red, white, and turquoise. This used to be a popular color combo a few years ago, but it's kind of fallen by the wayside lately. I just used this color combo for this layout here earlier this week and remembered how much I liked it, so while I had the red/pink polka dot paper scrap still on my desk, I thought I would use it again as my favorite color combo here. I went in search of a turquoise paper and found a scrap in my February Great Stash Bash kit that I have not put away yet! So this Traveler's Notebook Spread helped me to use up two scraps without them ever going into my scrap box!

My favorite embellishment - right now - are these cute - tiny - enamel hearts from Doodlebug Designs! I got a few of these in a kit from The ScrapRoom a few months ago and fell in love with them. I may have bought a few different packs to have on hand since then! 

So, here we are already on Week 15 of 2020 and I only have two weeks done in my 52 Favorites of 2020 so far. I'd better get it in gear so I am not so far behind! This photo was taken last week when we had to watch Ada while Abby went to the school to get homework packets made for her students for the rest of the month. We just found out today that they have canceled school for the rest of the year and will do virtual learning until their last day in May. I don't know what this is going to mean for Ada's Kindergarten graduation...it makes me so sad to think she's going to miss that, but they may do something at a later date. Here's hoping! 

Anyway, when she came in I told how much I liked her unicorn shirt and she was all ready to strike a pose for me to take her picture! It was so good to get to spend some time with Ada and Abby - just the little distraction that we were needing in this crazy time.

I love the Elle's Studio metal heart dies and the coordinating stamp set. I finally ordered them and I am so happy that I did - they will pay for themselves in no time at all!

Now, on to the prize - first of all, thank you to Anna and Sandi for playing along with us in March. With everything that is going on in the world, we are going to suspend prizes for right now so we don't have to get out any more than we have to. So, what I am going to do is carry over the linky from last month and combine the entries with this month's entries. Hopefully, things will be returning to somewhat of a normal situation by May 9th and I will draw a prize from our March and April entries. If things are still crazy, we will roll it over for the May challenge, too, we will just wait and see. So be sure to link up - I will be giving away a prize - regardless of how many different participants I have - when things settle down!
