I am back with another layout to share - and this is a layout just for me - no design team assignment for this one! Did you know that Scrapbook Steals has a blog, and a weekly sketch contest going on right now? They post a new sketch every Wednesday and you have until the following Monday to get your layout posted for a chance to win some "steal points" each week. It is a 10 week series, and if you participate every week, you will be entered into a grand prize drawing. You can read all about it here. 

I decided to play along this first week and see if maybe, just maybe, I can go all 10 weeks. Here is a look at this week's sketch - Marigold #1:

This layout is of my youngest son, Shane, and my son-in-law's wolf puppy that he had gotten while he was in Germany in the National Guard back in 2011. He brought "Fang" over to show us on the 4th of July, and he was such a sweet little pup. As you can see in the photo - Shane fell in love with him at first sight!

I used Doodlebug's Puppy Love collection for most of this layout. When I purchased what few sheets of this that I wanted, I didn't buy any of the embellishments because I don't have a need for a lot of dog themed things - and even the papers that I picked were ones that you really couldn't tell they were themed. When I found this older photo I was really wishing that I had picked up some more papers and a few embellishments!
