Candy Land Crazy - Sketch N Scrap #168

Hello, everyone and Happy 2019! Did you stay up until midnight to see the new year in? I am looking forward to the new year and all of the exciting possibilities it holds.

Sketch N Scrap is starting the year off with a fun 2-photo sketch for us to work with. Here is a look at the sketch that Lisa has created:

I kept very closely to the sketch, only moving the title up and adding my journaling strips below it. I used some older Echo Park papers for this layout. The chevron is from the "Fine and Dandy" collection and the plaid is from the "Happy Days" collection.

I just love these photos of Ada with her new Candy Land game. Abby had gotten her the game over summer break and said she really liked to play it. They even brought it over once for her to play it with us. I decided we needed to get the game to have at our house so that when she is here during the week, we can play. On the day we bought it - and for a good two months afterward - we played it a lot. We're talking playing it for a half hour or more at a time - and a game generally doesn't take that long to play! We wore the first board out within that first couple of months - it tore in half one day while we were playing - and we had to buy a new game. Since then she hasn't been quite as crazy about it, but she still loves it!
