Try Stampin' -Or Not - On Tuesday #338

Hello, everyone! Happy Thursday to you! I hope you are having a good week. Not much longer now and it will be the weekend again!

The long Labor Day weekend has really gotten me behind on my days this week! I guess that is good since I'm thinking it's Wednesday and it's really Thursday, but it's not good that I forgot to add my design team card for Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday on the right day!

Here is the sketch, courtesy of Kaylin, and this week's optional theme is "School time":

I discovered when looking for papers, stamps, etc. for a school theme that I don't have a lot of that in my stash anymore, and since this school year is well underway, adding anything to my stash that it school related will have to wait until next year.

I did, however, make my first "fall" card of the year. The weather around here has been feeling a lot more like fall than the end of summer, so it's only fitting!

I used Echo Park's - A Perfect Autumn - for this card. Such pretty fall papers in this collection! The focal piece is from one of the ephemera packs. Now that I look back at this card, I think it would have looked really cute to wrap a little bit of jute around the top of it....I just might have to try that!

Be sure to check out the Try Stampin' blog to see the beautiful cards from the design team. Our challenges are open for two weeks and you can enter on the blog or on our Facebook page here

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Paper Play Sketches Color Challenge

Hi, guys! Happy Wednesday! I guess one of the good things about a long weekend is it makes for a short week! I can't believe it is Wednesday already!

We have a new color challenge for you today at Paper Play Sketches:

I took a little liberty with this color challenge and went more with the kraft brown - for the lunch sacks in the photo - white, and black. I love kraft and white together and the black just sets it off.

I die cut several snowflakes, using a die set from Paper Smooches, and scattered them across my card. The sentiment is from a Studio G $1 stamp set from several years ago. After I had already photographed this card I went back and outlined the sentiment with my black sharpie, and I like it so much better!

Stop by Paper Play Sketches to see the cards from the rest of the design team. Why don't you give this color combo a try? I would love to see what you do with it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Merry Christmas With Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #228

Hello, hello! Happy Tuesday! It's the first day back to the old routine after a long weekend, and even though it's Tuesday - it's feeling like it's Monday for me!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge has a new sketch posted over on the blog and I think it's another great one!

I am still a fan of banners, so anytime I can add them to a card - I am a happy girl! I have created another Christmas card using this sketch and I think it just may be my favorite so far!

I've used the Fancy Pants - Merry and Bright -  6x6 paper pad for this card. I stamped the Christmas trees ( CTMH - A - 1039 Tis the Season) with olive ink from CTMH and then cut them out. I've had this stamp set for ages and haven't used it very much. I thought it was time to pull it out and put it to use. I didn't have quite enough room on the banner piece for my sentiment to fit, so I added it to the bottom of the card.

Be sure to stop by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog tomorrow to see the full design team reveal and the Top 3 from last week's sketch. I would love to see your take on this card, so why don't you play along?!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Make It Monday #95 at The Memory Nest

Hello, scrappy friends! Good Monday morning to you! Today is Labor Day so that means an extra day off for us. We are going to enjoy every minute of it!

Today is Make It Monday at The Memory Nest. Leslie has created a fun two photo sketch with a spot for a large title.

Oh, my goodness - look at that cheesy grin that Matthew has on his cute little face! We had found this little square that was a Monster's Inc washcloth, and when you put it in water it actually turned into a regular washcloth. Matthew thought it was kind of crazy that the little square really did turn into a rag.

I dug into my Echo Park scrap drawer for the papers on this layout. I went old school and traced my letters and hand cut them out. One of these days I'll get around to getting a machine to do that for me!

Be sure to head on over to The Memory Nest to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. I hope you find the time to play along with us - I would love to see your take on the sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day! I'm getting ready to go spend some time with my boys!

Lasting Memories #360 - Stripes

Hello and Happy Sunday! We are in the middle of a long weekend and I am enjoying every minute of it! After having several below average days - temperature wise - we are supposed to be back up into the upper 80's and 90's today and tomorrow. Only fitting for this holiday weekend!

There is a new challenge posted today at Lasting Memories. Our theme for September is "All About Patterns" and this week we are featuring stripes!

This layout is of Miss Ada when she was learning to swim this summer. Once she set her mind to it there was no stopping her! She couldn't wait to be able to jump off of the deck into the pool. Pops was right there to catch her every time until she decided she could do it on her own. (You can't see him in the photos, but he was always right there if she needed him, which, of course, she didn't!)

I used papers and stickers from Echo Park's "Hello Summer" collection, and I based my layout off of Sketch #288 from last month at Sketches In Thyme:

I am participating in a pretty fun game in the Inspired By Memories Facebook group. It's a little detailed, so I won't go into a lot of the details right not, but for this first week I needed to use: 1 circle, 2 embellishment clusters, 3 hearts, and 4 photos. I'll give more information on it with my layout for next week  - I think it will be easier to understand then.

Be sure to stop by the Lasting Memories blog to see the gorgeous layouts from the rest of the design team. So much inspiration over there!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hiding In My Craft Room #316 - Fall Colors

Hello, hello! Happy Saturday to you! I hope your weekend is off to a good start! My oldest son is home from college for the long weekend and I am enjoying getting to hear all about his first two weeks!

There's a new challenge posted today at Hiding In My Craft Room. Since it's the first Saturday of the month we have a color challenge for you. Use fall colors on your project.

This week our sponsor is Digital Delights and we were all given this cute little "Bee Afraid" image to work with.

I'm hoping that since Halloween is in the fall, and since we had a Halloween image to work with, that these colors will work all right for "fall" colors! I had these papers still out on my desk from last week's card and thought they would work well for this card, as well. I colored this little guy with colored pencils and I added in a touch of Wink Of Stella to his wings to make them sparkle.

Be sure to stop by the Hiding In My Craft Room blog to see how the rest of the design team used this cute little bee image in their projects. I can't wait to see your fall color creations linked up on the blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!

We will only be posting bi-monthly, so you will be seeing new sketches on the first and the fifteenth. Here is the first sketch for September - created by the talented Shawn Lahr:

Guys - I am still working on the same spread that I was back in August! With getting ready for the start of school in August, things just got so busy that my Project Life album got pushed to the side! The entire layout is almost complete and I'm hoping that with the long holiday weekend that I will be able to finally get week 30, 2016 in the books!

I am still using a mix of Echo Park's - We Are Family and Summer Party 6x6 paper pads. I am very hopeful that I will have the completed layout to share with you later this weekend!

We will be offering up a prize this month, so be sure to link up by the 30th for your chance to win this:

LTCCB #14

Hi, guys! I am back with my fourth post - it has been a busy day here on the ol' blog! To find my previous posts, just follow these links - Christmas Cards All Year Round, Sketch N Scrap, and Love To Scrap Challenge Blog.

Love To Craft Challenge Blog has a new challenge starting today. Our challenges are always anything goes and you can create any type of craft that you would like!

I am continuing to make a few Christmas cards whenever I can. I am determined to have this year's cards done before the holiday season starts!

I've used my favorite Christmas collection - Doodlebug's "Here Comes Santa Claus" for this card. I seriously don't have much left of this collection, so this may be the last one you see using it! I might be able to squeeze out a couple more, but we will see.

I used this week's sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping. I love their sketches and always have good intentions of playing along each week, but it doesn't always work out for me. I am happy that I had the chance to work with this one!

I embossed the background with my swiss dot embossing folder. Instead of ribbon (which I still have a ton of) I tied some red and white baker's twine around the card front. This card came together very quickly and I love the end result.

Be sure to stop by LTCCB to see the beautiful creations from the rest of the design team. Like the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog - we are now posting all design team creations on the 1st of the month, so be sure to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back soon with one more project to share with you today!

LTSCB #101 - Anything Goes

Hello again crafty friends! This is my third post of the day, so if you are looking for my Christmas Cards All Year Round Reveal, you can find it here. If you're looking for my Sketch N Scrap reveal, you can find it here.

We have gone back to posting once a month, on the first, at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog, so you will be seeing twice this inspiration over there today! Our challenge for September is "Anything Goes".

I had the pleasure of working with Happy Birthday set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. I absolutely love this sentiment!

I used Shimelle's "True Stories" 6x6 paper pad. I fussy cut two of the red flowers from one of the papers to add to opposite corners. I love how this card turned out!

Head on over to LTSCB to see the wonderful projects from the rest of the design team. I would love it if you played along with us this month!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be right back with another project to share!

Sketch N Scrap #136

Hello, hello! I am back again with my second post of the day! If you are looking for my Christmas Cards All Year Round reveal, please scroll down or go here.

Like I said in my last post, I cannot believe that it is September! This cooler than usual weather sure feels like it should be September.

Sketch N Scrap has a new layout sketch posted today. Lisa has created a fun two photo sketch for us to work with:

With the banner in the upper left corner, I thought a birthday layout was in order!

I used more of the "Lovely Day" collection from Dear Lizzy. I love the colors and the patterns in this collection - perfect for little girl layouts!

This is my great niece, Isla. She lives a few hours away from us, but they made the trip down to visit the first of August. She celebrated her 3rd birthday in July and since we haven't had the chance to be at one of her parties, we decided to throw her one while they were down. Of course, Ada loves it anytime she comes down because that means another "friend" for her to play with!

Be sure to check out Sketch N Scrap to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. You will have until September 30th to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with another project to share with you!
