Caught Red-Handed - Scrap Our Stash September Sketch Challenge

Hello, everyone! Good Monday morning to you all! I hope you've had a good weekend and are ready for a new week.

Today I am sharing the layout that I created for this month's sketch challenge at Scrap Our Stash. Along with the sketch we are to use a wood grain paper and an animal embellishment. Here's a look at the sketch:

And my layout:

I have had these photos in my "to-scrap" box for ages. These photos are of our little rescue dog - George. He was 14 when he came to live with us in the spring of 2010 - I think - and he was quite a character! He had a love for Doublemint gum and any time that my purse was left on the floor and open where he could find it, he was sneaking the pack out and trying to get to the gum inside! He was always caught well before he was able to get to the gum inside, but that minty fresh smell got him every time!

To satisfy the added challenges to use woodgrain paper and an animal embellishment - I used a woodgrain paper for my background and created two handmade embellishments featuring a dog sticker that somewhat even looked like George.

Here are a couple of close-ups:

Be sure to check out the Scrap Our Stash to see how the rest of the design team took on this challenge. I hope you have a chance to play along with us this month!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! It's going to be a busy day around here - I have 2 more posts to share - so stay tuned!

  1. First off, much respect to you for adopting a 14yr old dog. ♥
What a sweet looking old boy. I love the story. Good job getting a picture of the evidence ☺.
I love how you used wood grain paper as the background. The title is perfect, and perfectly done in two colours. The clusters of doggies and cameras are really cute. Great job all around. TFS.
