Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my reveal for The Studio Challenges, please scroll on down.
Today is the last Recipe Challenge at Lasting Memories. This month DT member Lauren has provided our fun recipe challenges and the last challenge is to use 3 photos, 5 or more paper strips, and tiny word stickers.
I've taken a break from scrapping the older photos of boys and decided to scrap these photos of Ada learning how to swim without her life vest this summer. She is getting so close to being able to touch the bottom of the pool and we decided to see how she did without her vest on. She quickly discovered it's a lot harder to keep herself above water without a little help from her vest! She does great with holding her breath and Pops is always right there in case she needs any help. I'm guessing that next summer just might be the summer she swims without her life vest - if her Mom allows it!
I used Bella Blvd's 'Splash Zone' for this layout. I layered up the strips behind my 3 photos and added in a few word stickers on the photos. I splattered the background with some distress oxide inks, because it is a water layout, and added a little cluster to the bottom left corner. I will add my journaling - which will basically be what I said above - now that the photo has been taken. Lately, I have messed my journaling up if I add it directly to the layout before I take the photo, so for now, it gets added after the photos are taken!
Head on over to Lasting Memories to see the beautiful layouts from the rest of the design team. I can't wait to see your take on the recipe!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you have a great day!
Cute papers! What a big achievement to document!
