Counterfeit Kit Challenges March Kit Reveal and Blog Hop

Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Sketch N Scrap reveal, please scroll on down.

It's time for a new inspiration kit reveal today at Counterfeit Kit Challenges. March is my month to pick the inspiration kit and I have chosen the Citrus Twist Kits February 2020 Scrapbook Add-on kit:

They also have their main Life Crafted  Kit - Possibilities:

It has been a long winter here in the middle of the US with more cloudy - dreary days than those filled with sunshine, so with the anticipation of spring, that will officially be starting later this month, I went in search of a light - bright kit to inspire us. The kits from Citrus Twist Kits were just what I was looking for.

Here is the kit that I have put together, simply titled - Ready for Spring!

I have a few pieces of the Pinkfresh paper and some of the embellishments that can be found in the inspiration kit and that is where my kit started.

Here's a look at the papers that I have chosen.

The front row has the PinkFresh papers that are in the inspiration kit, a couple of old Bo Bunny papers - there's no date on them but they are from the early 2000s - and a blue paper from Pebbles from 2002.

The middle row is all based on the floral paper from Simple Stories'  - Hey Crafty Girl - collection. The inspiration kits have a few different floral papers in them and when I came across the Simple Stories paper, I knew it would be the one I would add to my kit. The last four papers in that row are all from the Simple Stories - Hey, Crafty Girl - collection. The teal paper is an old paper from My Mind's Eye from 2006, the mint paper is from Pink Paislee from 2010, and the yellow dot is from Crate Paper from 2010 - I think.

While I was looking through my older papers, I came across some of the Two Scoops collection from Basic Grey and they were a pretty good match to the PinkFresh papers - just a little darker, or grungier, maybe is the word I am looking for. I pulled what I had left of that collection and added them to my kit.

The back row of papers consist of a yellow paper from Recollections - no date on this one but it has to be from the early 2000s, a yellow paper from KI Memories from 2002, a pink paper from Pink Paislee from 2016, a pink diagonal stripe from Studio Calico from 2015, a mint green paper from My Mind's Eye from 2006, a pink plaid paper from Carolee's Creations from the early 2000s, another minty green paper from My Mind's Eye from 2005, and then the Basic Grey papers - no date on these but I'm pretty sure it was around 2008, maybe...

I feel like I have 3 mini kits all in my big kit this time around - each row of papers being its own kit - but there are definitely papers in there that tie them all together, too. If I can get a few of these old papers used up this month, I will be a happy camper!

Here's a look at my embellishments:

I have two die cut packs, puffy stickers, enamel dots, and chipboard flair from PinkFresh - and another sticker sheet from a different PinkFresh collection that matched fairly well, along with the puffy hearts and stars from PinkFresh, too.

While breaking down a couple of past kits that I had put together, I came across some stickers from October Afternoon, labels from Pretty Little Studio and Elle's Studio, and the sticker book from Heidi Swapp, and I went ahead and added them to my kit since the majority of it went so well with my kit. I also added a few rolls of washi tape - mostly to be a reminder to look for more as I need it.

For my alphas - I am going old school!

I came across a box of alphabet stickers in my closet that have been hanging around (and been forgotten!) for way too long. Not all of the colored alphas will work but I am sure going to try and use what I can! I'm hoping to work some in my Traveler's Notebook and PL album this month and I thought it might be a good time to try to use some of those smaller alphas for that.

I pulled these stamps from a kit I was breaking down and knew they would be perfect for some forgeries this month, so be sure to check back in a few days to see what I create with them.

Lastly, I have a few scraps and die cuts from the Simple Stories - Hey, Crafty Girl - collection. These were part of a kit from The ScrapRoom from January - I think - and I'm hoping to get them used up this month.

I have ideas for at least three layouts using each of the "mini-kits" in my inspiration kit. I am hoping to come close to killing this kit before the end of the month instead of letting it hang around for a while!

Be sure to check out the kits from the rest of the design team. Here's the blog hop list:

  2. Lovely, lovely - so much pastel goodness. I like the idea of using Pink Fresh and Elle's Studio - I would not have paired those up on my own. I only have a little of the former left, but lots of the latter. Thanks for the inspiration.
