Today is my day to be featured over at Scrap Our Stash with my take on the Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge. Along with the sketch we are to use washi tape on our layout. Here's a look at the sketches we had to choose from:
And here is my layout:
I picked the right side of the sketch to base my layout on. I don't do a lot of multi-photo layouts anymore, but when I saw this sketch I knew it would be perfect for all of these photos of Ada when we attempted to make homemade slime last summer.
I used the center circle area for my title and since I had a lot to say I used one of the photo places for a journaling box. For the added challenge to use washi - I added some thin navy and white diagonal striped washi tape to my layout and the gold hearts were made by using gold glitter washi, too. I just layered several strips of the washi tape together until I got the size big enough to die cut the hearts.
Here are a couple of close-ups:
About the layout - Ada decided it would be pretty fun to make homemade slime, which kind of surprised me because she gets so grossed out by things like that, so we gathered all of the supplies and went to work. When it started to get to the slime stage, she started to gag and cry, it was grossing her out so bad! We kept working with it - probably a little too much because it had more of a silly putty consistency than a slime consistency - but that actually worked out okay because she could handle touching it then! We all had a few good laughs that night, but she sure has not ever asked to make slime again!
Be sure to stop by Scrap Our Stash for more inspiration for this challenge. I would love to see your take on it, too!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day!

So Cute! What a great story! I, too, do a lot of multi-photo pages. Love your layout!
