Hello again! I am back with my second post of the day. If you are looking for my reveal for The Studio Challenges, please scroll on down.
It's time for the March Challenge at TN Time With Lisa and Lori! Here's how it works - Lisa will be providing a TN sketch on her blog for us to work with this month. Use the sketch to create a TN, planner, or bullet journal spread. I will be providing a random challenge here on my blog for you to use in your TN, planner, or bullet journal spread.
You can complete the challenges together or separately - it's your choice. If you complete my random challenge - link up below in this post. If you combine my challenge with Lisa's Sketch Challenge - link up your layout both here on my blog and on Lisa's blog. If you just complete the sketch challenge, then just link up on Lisa's blog. You will have a chance to win a prize from me and a prize from Lisa.
Here is my challenge for March:
Just use some washi tape on your spread! No worries if you don't have washi tape you can always use paper strips, but use washi tape if you have it!
Here is a look at the sketch that Lisa has created for us to use:
Here is my TN spread:
I have neglected my current 52 Favorites TN the last couple of weeks because I have been going back and working on my 52 Favorites of 2018 instead! Whatever photo inspires me at the time! I do hope to spend the next couple of weeks catching up on my current 52 Favorites but I will need to put in a photo order!
My Week 4 favorite of 2019 is this photo of my boys on their birthday weekend. I was so happy to have Matthew home for the weekend to celebrate his and Shane's birthdays. It seems unreal that they are 21 and 19 - when did they become men?! Having Matthew home for the weekend and the whole family together was like a present to me!
Here are a couple of close-ups:
I used washi tape in 3 different places on my spread - above the photo and at the top and bottom of my journaling spot.
I came across these birthday papers from Bella Blvd that I had gotten in a kit from The Scrap Room a few months ago and they were perfect for this spread. All of the embellishments - with the exception of the washi tape - were in the kit, as well.
Now for the rules. You can always find the rules to our challenge under the tab at the top of the page, but as a refresher, here they are again:

March's prize from me is:
I would love it if you played along with my challenge! Just link up your project below. The deadline to enter is April 9th at midnight. Don't forget to check out Lisa's blog to see her take on the challenge!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great day!
This is SO amazing Lori!! I love the bright colors and all the washi you used on your pages! Great challenge, cuz I for sure have WAY to much washi!!
ReplyDeleteOnce again - love all of the yellow. I will admit right here and now that I am not a fan of Washi tape. I did do a 24 8x8" page swap last year on which Washi tape was required. That means I had to assemble 24 pages with Washi tape on them. I think this slightly changed my opinion of Washi tape on project. Anyhoo I am all about the challenge, so look for something from me the first week of April as I am out of pocket for 3 weeks or so.
ReplyDeleteLove your spread... you are rocking the Travelers Notebook style! I love the sketch and I NEED to use my washi so I will try really hard to remember to play along this month. I'll e-mail you in a bit...TY for the prize (and inspiration)!
ReplyDeleteDoreen Vasquez: Congrats on being a prize winner!
DeleteLori: Love this fun bold color TN interpretation of Lisa's sketch. I like the banner idea instead of a doily too to fit the birthday party theme--good idea! You are so clever! Decorative tapes are something I like to use, so maybe I will use that as my starter inspiration piece instead of the pics or papers?!?!! Better do this challenge in the next 10 days or so before our schedule gets unpredictable.
